Hello all of my wonderful people! As many of you may know, I have a slipped disk that has been impinging on my S1 nerve throughout the last several months that has been severely limiting me. I am having it surgically corrected this thursday, and I will be out of commission for at least a week after.

I am hoping for a quick and easy recovery, but I just wanted to remind everyone that starting wednesday October 28th, I will be available for virtual lessons for anyone who would be interested. All you need is a phone with good reception, a tripod, and bluetooth headphones with a mic and we can connect on whatever video call platform you prefer including pivo, Facebook messenger, WhatsApp, zoom, facetime, etc. These lessons will be offered at a significant discount, 75% off my regular lesson fee! If you are interested in trying out a virtual lesson please let me know!

I will update early next week with my prgress, but as of right now, I am hoping to return to teaching in person by mid November.

Thank you all for your continued support through all of this and I very much look forward to being on the other side of this!

A helpful tool for those looking for their next horse. Learning on a sensitive horse can be incredibly difficult and can create a lot of safety problems for both horse and rider. There is nothing better than a good schoolmaster and too many are fried before they can get there these days

What a great visual illustrating a restricting hand and seat! When we begin to pull back it adds leverage to the wrong parts of the system and throws everything quickly out of balance. Our job is to help maintain the vertical balance of the horse and so we must move within it!

Last month, I had the pleasure of completing the second leg of my Equine Hanna Somatics Education ®️, which focuses on a deeper and more focused protocol with the head, neck and thoracic sling. Since then, I've seen some incredible changes the new protocols are bringing to the horses I've been able to work with!

Pictured here are my horse Darwin and my client's horse, who both needed some bridle adjustments after some significant changes in their first session with the new protocols!

If you want to help your horse start feeling better, more relaxed and more free in their body, message me and together we can start helping your horse feel their best!

10 years ago, this crazy dingdong came home with me and we got to start our incredible journey together.

Darwin is a horse of a lifetime, one that has taught me so much, seen me through some of the biggest moments of my life, and has helped me grow into the person I am proud to be today. He has helped me discover an entirely new side of partnership, one built from mutual trust and respect, and shown me the difference between compliant and willing. He continues to teach me every day, pushing me to be better, to continue to learn and improve and grow.

I never would have imagined, 10 years ago, the horse and the partnership I have now in Darwin. And I am so excited to see where the next 10 bring us.
