Assessing your pet’s quality of life can help guide important care decisions. While every pet is different, here are a few things veterinarians often look at:

• Comfort – Are they experiencing pain or discomfort?
• Appetite & Hydration – Are they still eating and drinking normally?
• Mobility – Can they move around and enjoy daily activities?
• Happiness – Are they still engaging with you and their environment?

If you ever have concerns about your pet’s quality of life, please reach out. We’re here to support you and your pet every step of the way.

Small daily habits can have a big impact on your pet’s long-term health.

Providing a balanced diet, regular exercise, dental care, parasite prevention, and routine wellness exams can help keep your pet feeling their best.

Preventive care is one of the best ways to support a happy, healthy life for your furry family member. 🩵

For many rescue dogs, feeling comfortable in a new home takes time. Those little milestones—like tail wags, playful zoomies, and cuddles—are big signs they’re starting to feel safe.

If you’ve adopted a rescue dog, you know how special those moments can be.

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to the newest veterinarian joining our team at Granbury Animal Clinic — Dr. Bailey Montgomery!

Dr. Montgomery grew up in Southlake, Texas, where her love for animals was shaped through rodeo and 4-H. She earned her undergraduate degree from Tarleton State University before going on to graduate from the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine.

She is passionate about mixed animal practice because it allows her to provide compassionate care across a variety of species. Dr. Montgomery values building strong relationships with both clients and patients and is dedicated to ensuring every pet owner feels informed, supported, and confident in their animal’s care.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys horseback riding, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her husband and her dog, Jolene.

We are excited to have Dr. Montgomery as part of the Granbury Animal Clinic family and know our clients and patients will love getting to know her. Be sure to say hello and help us welcome her to the team!

To the veterinary assistants who show up every day with compassion, patience, and dedication — thank you. 💙🐾

You are often the first comforting voice a worried pet parent hears and the gentle hands that help pets feel safe during their visit. From preparing treatments to supporting the veterinary team behind the scenes, your work truly makes a difference.

This week, we celebrate everything you do to care for pets and the people who love them.

✨ Happy National Veterinary Assistant Week!

Cats have one simple rule when it comes to choosing a seat: if they fit, they sit. Boxes, baskets, laundry piles, laptops, tiny shelves, and that one spot you just stood up from five seconds ago. Nothing is off limits.

No matter how small, awkward, or questionable the space is, a determined cat will make it work.

Tell us...where is the strangest place your cat has decided to sit? 😹
