Know the signs of overheating in pets! ☀️🐶

As temperatures rise, heat-related illnesses can become dangerous very quickly. Watch for these warning signs:
🔴 Excessive panting
🔴 Drooling
🔴 Increased heart rate
🔴 Weakness
🔴 Dazed behavior
🔴 Uncoordinated movement
🔴 Collapse

If your pet shows any of these symptoms, move them to a cool area, offer water, and contact your veterinarian immediately.

🎉 Team Celebration Time! 🎉

We're proud to share that we successfully passed our AAHA Evaluation again this month! This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our entire team to providing the highest standard of care for our patients and clients.

To celebrate, we took some time away from the clinic for a fun team outing. We enjoyed delicious food at Grumps Burgers 🍔 and spent the afternoon playing wiffle ball ⚾. It was a great opportunity to relax, laugh, and celebrate this accomplishment together.

🐾 Heat Stroke in Pets: Know the Signs, Act Fast ☀️

As temperatures rise, our pets can overheat much faster than we do. Heat stroke is a medical emergency and can become life-threatening within minutes.

🚨 Watch for these signs of heat stroke in pets:
• Excessive panting or difficulty breathing
• Drooling more than usual
• Bright red, pale, or bluish gums
• Lethargy, weakness, or confusion
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Stumbling, loss of coordination, or collapse
• Seizures or unconsciousness

💧 If you suspect heat stroke:
✅ Move your pet to a cool, shaded area immediately
✅ Offer small amounts of cool (not ice-cold) water
✅ Use cool, wet towels on their paws, belly, and neck
✅ Turn on a fan or air conditioning if available
✅ Contact a veterinarian right away—even if your pet seems to improve

• Never leave pets in parked vehicles
• Walk dogs during cooler morning or evening hours
• Always provide fresh water and shade

However, pet owners could be affected by travel restrictions. If you are planning on traveling outside of the continental United States, please notify us as soon as possible and we will advise you on the most recent travel advisories. Please know that restrictions are changing daily and may continue to do so until the problem is contained.
