Here at Rush Pack Dog Training I strive to help you develop a better, more long lasting relationship with your dog. I help find ways for you to connect with your dog at their level (through mental & physical stimulation) while also finding ways to help your dogs connect with you on your level (boundaries, rules & structure). Just like human children it is our job to show our dogs how to exist in t

he world through daily living. Also just like humans most dogs need extra curricular activities & hobbies to keep their minds & bodies fresh. We want to hep you find ways to have fun with your dog, to truly bond with them while also setting appropriate rules & boundaries

Training can be hard & frustrating, teaching our dogs to understand human life can be challenging - and that is where I come into play. I will help you understand body language, how your pup is thinking & ways to speak dog without actually speaking dog. No two dogs are alike just no two households are built the same, which is why I provide custom training programs to fit you and your family's specific needs.

Welcome Miss Bentley. Bentley is a 5ish year old American Bully. She’s spending the next few weeks with us for a custom training program.

Recall, leash skills, place training, remote training collar and to help start her weight loss journey. She’s slowly adjusting to the change in scenery, but today we’ve made several strides in the right direction.

She’s a sweet girl, just needs better direction when she’s over aroused and help to make the right choices.

Just another long video of Tucker being awesome.

Tonight I added in two place beds, more commands before a food reward and even lovings for a reward vs food - loves are hard.

I also remembered my tripod. I try and end every session with an “all done” lovings, which I don’t usually get to video as they’d be nice and chaotic.

I also want to note, Tucker put himself on the place bed while I set up the camera. I love how much he loves to work.

Tomorrow will travel with the gang and I to Manhattan. If we have time maybe he’ll get to try his turn at swimming.

So proud of Tucker. He rocked a busy weekend of traveling; experiencing loads of dogs, humans and chaos. He rocked it like a champion.

Today he learned how to “auto” down for his place command. We did several reps of luring into a down, then waited him out until he started offering it on his own during his afternoon session. For dinner he didn’t miss a beat. He’s learned that downs are sooo rewarding that he’s not only offering them on the place bed, but also, everywhere 🤣.

His recalls and leash skills are also continuing to go beautifully.

Tucker had another great evening training session. I’m loving his brain.

His mom has done an amazing job with all his foundational skills. He came with a general understanding of sit, down, place & here. So HUGE kudos to her! Now we just keep building on everything she’s already taught.

Marker words I am using:
“Good” - not done, keep doing it, if there is a food reward it comes to you.
“Yes” - you did it!, you come get the food reward
“Free” - task completed, freedom is your reward. Often times we just go back to working but in theory he could run amuck if he wanted.

I reintroduced “place” with free shaping, just brought the board out and waited for him to engage with it, then waited for him to offer a sit - now that’s the requirement 90% of the time before food. Towards the end of tonight’s session was the first time I added the word.

He is wearing the ecollar tonight, but for this session it wasn’t used at all.

Introducing Tucker. He’s a 6 month old Lab who will be hanging with us for the next 3 weeks.

He’s here for leash skills, manners (ie: no jumping), recall, basic OB and Ecollar foundation.

He’s an adorable fun guy, and I can’t wait to watch his smart lil brain work. 🥰
