Pure bred Jersey heifer Glory. She is A2A2 and was born polled. She is confirmed bred to our A2A2, polled, bull.

She is a couple weeks away from calving. Don’t have a breed date as she was just in with the bull for about 3 months. I would say she is 2-4 weeks away from calving from looking at how her body is getting ready. Calf will be A2A2 and may be homozygous for polled.

Glory was born June 21, 2024. Glory is such a gentle natured cow. Leads on halter like a dream. Absolutely beautiful girl! I’ve had her tied in the barn a couple different lengthy times and she settled really easily to being in an unfamiliar to her situation and being tied. Not flighty but nice and steady minded. Her mom is one of our favorites with that same gentle nature. Would make a wonderful family cow with how kind and gentle she is.

This morning was a sad morning for our family. Our beautiful cow Victorious left this earth for another. She was vibrant and healthy at milking last night…..but this morning when Dan called her in for milking she did not come. Dan found her laying on the top of the hill in our pasture. There were no warning signs of anything wrong. This kind of death can be the hardest. Victorious was a kind, beautiful, spunky milk cow. We bought her in 2022 and she gave us four beautiful calves. Her legacy lives on in her daughters America and Sally May who are with us still.

Life goes on even when hard things happen. This morning, as I was making butter and listening to CeCe Winans as I often do, the song The Goodness of God came on. As the tears began to come I remembered that Victorious’ first calf we named Goodness as this song was playing in the barn when we brought them in. We are thankful for her life and the beautiful calves she gave. She blessed us through herself, through her calves, and many others through the yummy milk she gave us over the years. Thank you Jesus for Victorious’ life.

We still have available our pure bred Jersey milk cow, Lizzie. She is A2A2 and bred to our A2A2, homozygous polled bull. She is due with her 3rd calf September 24th, 2026. Calf will be A2A2 and polled.

Her birthdate is November 28, 2021.

Her last lactation she was milking three quarters. She is an easy milker and easy to handle cow. Her personality is more stand offish but is calm and easy to work with.

We have had many customers ask, and we have come up with an answer!
This week debuts Avery’s, corn and soy free eggs! This is his flock that he cares for. He gathers, cleans when needed, and boxes these eggs up every day. They are free range with our Great Pyrenees Millie protecting them from predators. This is his business that he has worked hard on and he makes the profits from. We are so very proud of him!
You may order or get them from our store. We will have them marked separately from our other eggs in the store. They are $10 a dozen. He has a limited supply, so get your orders in quick!
