A small summer test that could save your dog's paws>>>

A 75-degree day at a 7 a.m. walk is comfortable. The same walk at 11 a.m. on hot pavement is dangerous — even on days that don't feel that hot to you.

The seven-second test:
Press the back of your hand against the sidewalk. If you can't hold it there for seven seconds, it's too hot for your dog's paws.

Please help us welcome Dr. Maryeah Jones to the Crain Veterinary Team! 🎉🎉

Dr. Maryeah Jones grew up in rural Northwest Missouri and spent many summers in the Grain Valley and Oak Grove area. She has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember and feels incredibly grateful to now be living out that dream while serving the community she has long admired. Maryeah is a recent graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, Class of 2026.

Maryeah and her husband were recently married and enjoy spending most of their free time outdoors with their two dogs, Ella and Sage. Whether hiking, exploring new places, or simply enjoying time outside, their dogs are always part of the adventure.

She looks forward to meeting clients and their pets and is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care for the animals they love most.
