Woodrow: Woodsy won his class and Winner’s Dog both days to finish up his Puppy of Achievement award! He also got to do a baby fun run in Coursing Ability, and it looks like he’s going to have a lot of fun with it next year when he’s old enough for the real thing!

Wildemere: Wil won Best of Opposite on Saturday for 1 GCH point, and won Best of Breed today for a 3 GCH point major! All that’s left for him is a champion defeat and a couple singles.

Next up, we have the Autumn Harvest Cluster last weekend in Lebanon, Indiana. The Fox River Field Spaniel Club LLC put on a FANTASTIC show with oh so many things to do!

Woodrow: Woodsy won his class every day, scooping up an additional 6 Puppy of Achievement points. On Saturday at the FRFSC Designated Specialty Woodrow won Reserve Winners Dog for his very first 3 points, and his first major towards his championship. He also too Best Puppy in Specialty. On Sunday, Woodrow took another Best Puppy in Specialty, making him a multiple Best Puppy In Show winner!

Maple: On Saturday at the FRFSC Designated Specialty, Maple took Best of Opposite for 5 GCH points towards her Grand Championship Bronze. On Sunday, team Maple and Kenzie took Reserve Best Junior Handler in the specialty juniors competition in a very large class of talented juniors.

Wildemere: While Wildemere didn’t take any wins in the conf weekend, he was a very good boy and finished his Farm Dog Certification title, and got to play with his new friend Aubrey in the juniors ring.

Augustus: Gus just got to play FastCat for an additional 126 points towards his FCAT3!

Overall we had an incredibly successful show at Lebanon, and are beyond excited for next years National at this location!

We have had a busy few weekends we need to catch up on! The weekend before last, Fern and Maple showed at the Tarheel Labor Day Cluster in North Carolina. For the Sporting Dog Specialty on Friday, Fern took Winner’s for another point towards her championship, and Maple took Best of Opposite for 2 GCh points. Later the same afternoon, Maple took Best of Opposite again for another 2 GCh points. On Sunday, Maple took a Select for 3 GCh points, to a total of 7 more points towards her Grand Championship Bronze. While it was way too hot to get pictures of the girls after the show with their ribbons, we did snap a couple candids before!

While we’re just starting to get the ball rolling at the Autumn Harvest Cluster, in the meantime we wanted to share this BEAUTIFUL portrait we commissioned of our girl Francine. We’re so excited to see it in person when it finally arrives. 💕

Frannie is finished! 🖤

It was a very wet, windy, and humid weekend, but we got to play show dog for the first time in awhile at the Iced Tea Cluster of Dog Shows. Woodrow got 3 POA points, and Willie took Best of Breed on Friday, and Select Saturday and Sunday for a total of seven points, and another major crossed off his GCH requirements!

Gus got to play chase the plastic bunny in Indiana this weekend, and got three more CAT qualifying runs! Only a few more till he gets his next level title. He has SO much fun doing it, and that’s what matters most. 💕

While the rest of the extended family is out chasing the plastic bunny on weekends, Wildemere has been beating the heat and practicing his Goodest Boy skills. He’s added two new fun titles to his name, and pending AKC approval Willie is now:

Good job Sqwilliard!

While Kelsey is keeping a close eye on Maple back in NC, Niki in IN took some time to meet up with a great group of field spaniel friends to have some fun. Woodrow got to run his second ever baby bunny hop, and got his first fastcat ribbon for his fun run. He’s gonna be a FastCat addict as soon as he is old enough!

Gus got some really speedy runs in, but didn’t quite make fastest fieldie of the weekend. Congrats Winnie, Gus is gonna try harder next time! He did however, get enough points to win his FCAT2. Greater Lafayette Kennel Club really knows how to make some nice rosettes!

Unfortunately, we have some bad news to share. Some time between her ultrasound and her x-ray it seems Maple reabsorbed her puppies. While not common, it is something that happens occasionally with smaller litters. Right now, our only focus is Maple: making sure she is well, and recovers her health and natural joie de vivre. Moving forward, we have plans to breed Maple again in the fall or next spring, and Fern sometime after that, pending health testing results. As a small-time team, we do not have litters often. But we will keep everyone updated on future plans both here, and in our convos with you over the phone and messaging. 💕
