My neighbors mowing their lawn has always been a big challenge. For her to not only easily turn away from them while mowing, but doing so with relaxed body language is absolutely amazing! Always celebrate the wins, no matter how small!

Grizz has been doing amazing with his retrieval tasks. They are some of his favorite tasks to perform. Juice and Med retrieval can be extremely beneficial when his handler needs them to remain safe.

Part of understanding behavioral issues is to address any underlying medical issues. Pain can be a big cause of behavioral issues in dogs. Red light therapy has helped not only my own dogs with arthritis, but I have used on multiple friends and family's dogs.

This boy made so much progress! Walks were a full body exercise and he got over excited seeing other people or dogs. Now his owners can enjoy his walks and he makes better decisions around distractions!

Confidence building can be anything your dog is either unsure about or is new for them. Ruby hasn't walked on this texture before and I don't think she's ever been up that high from the ground. But she did great! Even jumped off for zoomies around the yard 😂.

Training Tip Tuesday 🐾

Consistency is Key!

You don't have to set aside hours each day to work on training your dog.

In fact, multiple short sessions a few times a day is more effective than a couple long, exhausting sessions a few times a week.

You only need 5-10 minutes, 3-5 times a day. If you are consistent in your training and effort, you will achieve better results in a shorter time!

While Ruby only works at home, she definitely has made a huge difference in my life. For many people, help at home can take a lot of the stress off and help them manage their disability or chronic illness.

At-home service dogs are trained to perform tasks that can increase a person’s independence and improve their quality of life. They are not “lesser” service dogs. In fact, even many service dogs who work in public access do some of their most valued work at home.

Service dog work doesn’t have to happen in public to be meaningful. ❤️
