I could have a reality tv show about my life. 😂 Dixie hasn't shown a heat since January 1st. Our plan was to breed her with Otto for GMD, but when Rachel didn't get pregnant with Berners like we had hoped, I decided we would use Dixie, so was kinda happy she had postponed coming into heat. I had wanted to do an ultrasound 30 days after she had been around Otto, just to make sure, but since we hadn't seen a heat, I didn't really worry about doing one. Well, fast forward to today's exciting news with Luma, I figured I'd better ultrasound Dixie since dogs tend to sync cycles and those two hung out together alot...can you guess what I found?! This goofball is pregnant with Golden Mountain Dogs too. 😍 I am super bummed that they won't be Baby Berners for those waiting, but am thankful that she is pregnant after waiting so long!!

Poor Otto is old enough to breed, has checked all the boxes, but I wasn't using him yet since his dad is proven. He really got impatient I guess 😂😂 Looks like it will be a fall full of Golden Mountain Dog pups!! 🤎🤎 I'm so amazed. So excited. I didn't even know what to write, because this all seems too good to be true, but I always share our roller coaster ride of a life 🤷‍♀️😂

We have some VERY exciting news to start our Monday! 🤎🐾

Luma and Otto are expecting a litter of Golden Mountain Dog puppies—as early as next week!!

When Luma came into heat, we made the decision to separate her and Otto. At the time, we had four other mamas potentially pregnant. When we found only one of those mamas was actually pregnant, I regretted our decision not to breed her. 😭

Earlier this week, I was feeling especially discouraged. We have wonderful families patiently waiting for puppies, and after several of our girls didn't get pregnant, I was starting to wonder how everything was going to work out. I know it is out of my hands, but I always feel like I am letting people down when plans don't work out. I prayed about it. I told God how stressed I was about the dogs, among a whole other list of things in life. 🥴

And apparently… Luma and Otto had already taken matters into their own hands before we separated them. 😂🤎

This feels like such a huge answer to prayer at a time when I really needed the encouragement. We are SO excited and incredibly thankful. We are still sorting out Phoebe's litter to wait families, and will be in touch with others after Luma has hers! ❤️

She might be nine years old, but Remi is quick to "shake" still! 🥰 In her old age, she becoming anxious and is even more of a velco-dog than I thought possible. Im going to make a vet appointment to talk about med options, but has anyone tried any supplements that have helped your dog with anxiousness? Last night poor Remi just paced alot, and I'd really like to see her mind ease up some! She never used to deal with this, but I think its her old age. 😢
