This 2 yr old filly has surprised me at every turn and there was a point where I doubted we would ever make it to this milestone. We're out here thinking we train the horses but in reality they train us.
We fall into the more more more faster faster faster mentality. The pressure to have 90 rides on a c**t you've had for 30 days is a real thing. It's self pressure because time is money and we want to make every dollar count for out customers.
This little filly gave me a reminder that taking an extra month to do it right, at her pace is just a breathe compared to the long life she has to give.
Also a little humbling is great for anyone at any point in life. I'm so excited for her to hit the show pen and do big things.
