Good Morning from Zazz! One thing I really love on our homestead is our rabbitry!!! Over the last 6 years we have grown immensely and we love every minute of it. Yes somedays it can be difficult, sometimes there is loss but, thats homesteading life. Where there is live stock, their is dead stock as well, that goes for all animals on the homestead. So today, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP, DO YOUR BEST AND KEEP ROCKING IT!

When your given a single little precious ducky and decide that it cannot be left alone in the truck while shopping for 2 items... so it rides in your lap and then you grab a bucket so it can be comfortable til you get home 🤣🤣🤣 while I and Mulberry Hill Microfarm were discussing rabbits, this man decided he was going to hang out in the back of the truck on a bale of straw with this little one, until I was ready to go 🤣🤣🤣 We've decided to name the lil one stormfang to keep the theme going. 🤣🤣 never a dull moment when hubs is around. Thank you Mulberry for making him feel special 🤣🥰

Be Ready for an overhaul!!! 🥰 over the next few weeks til around August I'll be working on our homestead to better our harvests, working more towards free ranging, and bettering our lives, not just for us but for the animals we live and care for as well! These are not pets, they are food for us, but... they are treated with the utmost respect and care we can provide.

Fill freezers, not shelters
Is something I too will stand by! So.... with that said...
What are somethings you swear by for your harvests, animal care, and health (human or animal, poultry or livestock and even waterfowl) what are your recommendations on getting the most out of your land as possible.

Ehhh!!! Alll the things!!! Loooooooooooove all the things! This is what life was made for! What do yall enjoy planting? Fall crops? Spring crops? Flowers... give me more ideas on what you plant to make your homestead run all year round!

We had some excitement happen today and so very thrilled at it!!! Our beautiful girl "Noodle" aka Bones, laid a clutch of 8 Eggs!!! Our first time clutch!!! And we are so over the moon about this! Our Male "Spook the ninja" witnessed it first hand as they are a very bonded pair and 9/10 prefer to be together.... but for now they will remain apart until we decide what's next, self incubation or inubator....

So excited to have finally finished our quail enclosure. Room for them to run, fly, zoom and be more natural. They were so happy I collected 5 eggs today. First 5 in nearly a month as they were too cramped in their brooder pens.
