Let’s talk about teeth!

Dental health is one of those things that can be really easy to overlook with our pets. After all, most dogs and cats aren’t exactly going to walk up and tell us they have a toothache!

But good dental health is SO important to their overall health and comfort.

Plaque and tartar buildup can lead to red and inflamed gums, bad breath, infection, loose or painful teeth and periodontal disease. And unfortunately, pets can be really good at hiding dental pain. Many will continue eating and acting pretty normal even when they have a painful tooth or significant dental disease.

That’s why having your pet’s teeth and gums checked regularly is so important. Catching dental problems early can help prevent a much bigger—and more painful—problem later.

We offer dental screenings as well as professional dental cleanings for both our canine and feline patients.

If you’ve noticed bad breath, heavy tartar buildup, red or bleeding gums, difficulty chewing, dropping food, pawing at the mouth—or you just aren’t sure what’s going on in there—give us a call and let us take a look!

Sometimes that stinky dog or kitty breath isn’t just stinky breath.

A healthy mouth is an important part of having a happy, healthy pet.
