🤠🐎FAQ:Fall Rodeo at Wind Vineyards SML🐎🤠🔥

Tomorrow is SHOW DAY with our friends at BLM Bull and Rodeo Company! Thank you Amish Barns of Virginia/Four Winds Construction—your regional leader in pole barn, barndominium construction and more—for sponsoring this event! Here are some answers to FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Are tickets available at the gate?
🔥ABSOLUTELY! Tickets are cash ONLY at the gate, FYI. You may buy them online if you would like to use a credit card, but you can save the processing fees with cash at the gate! All discounts have expired the day of the event!
When & where?
🔥 Saturday, October 17, at 15772 Moneta Road. We will open the gates at 3pm. Mini bulls and will begin around 5pm and usually last 30-45 minutes. The professional riders will be up around 6pm! The fun will go until 8pm or so. Please do not arrive before 3pm to allow us to set up!
What drinks are available?
🔥 As always, we will have our slushies, sangria, and award winning wines! This particular event WILL also have b**r! Of course we will also have soft drinks, Gatorade, water, lemonade, etc.
We can’t I bring?
🔥For all our big event, we do not allow outside food, drinks, cups, or coolers. A CLEAR BAG policy is in effect. You are welcome to not bring a bag or bring your own clear bag. We will have clear bags for sale at the gate for $10 as a courtesy to our guests.
Is there food at the event?
🔥 Absolutely! We have numerous delicious food trucks coming to support our rodeo!
Can I bring my pet?
🔥No—There are no pets allowed at our big events for the safety and enjoyment of everyone.
How do I sign my child up for mutton busting?
🔥Kids must be 60 pounds or less and you can register onsite—first come, first serve. Do this early because it will almost certainly fill quickly!
Can I bring chairs?
🔥Yes! We will also rent chairs at the event and there are bleachers available that almost always have seats available. So in summary, you can bring a chair, rent a chair, or sit in the bleachers!
Can I bring a canopy/tent/umbrella?
🔥Yes, BUT they must be set up in the rear behind other guests. Tents, umbrellas, and canopies must not hinder the view of other attendees.
How is the weather looking?
🔥GREAT! We will get some rain in morning which will be perfect to keep dust down and it seems currently that rain will be gone by lunch time! 🙌
Is this like the other rodeos I see advertised various places around the state?
🔥NO!!! Unlike many other events, this rodeo is a true, SEBRA Bull Riding & Barrel Racing sanctioned event with high level professional riders from across the country! We invest a lot of money into providing the BEST rodeo available! This is not amateur folks putting on a show riding a cow. This is the “Major Leagues” of rodeo with more riders than you can find at most any other event in Virginia.
What events are offered?
🔥We have mini bulls, mutton busting, barrel racing, and pro bull riding. We focus on the heart & soul of a rodeo—pro bull riding—as opposed to having a sampling if many different events.
Will Grape Crusher Monster Ride Truck be there?
🔥Grape Crusher is busy every weekend in October giving rides at our famous Fall Festival at our sister location in Tappahannock. Thus, we do not have monster truck rides at our October rodeo. We will have our enormous Jump Pad (free) for kids and don’t worry, Grape Crusher will return next spring!
Do I need to bring cash?
🔥If possible, YES! We do accept cards and believe most all third party vendors so as well. However, if lines start to form we will have a “cash only” line that will provide faster service and get you back to the show quickly! Cash transactions are markedly faster than credit cards so keep lines moving.
“Why aren’t you answering the phone?”
🔥We do our absolute very best to answer every phone call and even return all missed calls we have. However, especially within 24 hours of our big events the number of calls, emails, texts, messages, etc we get is astronomical! Stay tuned for a LIVE VIDEO on Facebook explaining details and showing our set up and will likely do it again today! Putting questions in the comments of that video or our FAQ post is likely your easiest way to get answers. We do ask that you read our posts & watch the videos to set proper expectations and answer questions to allow for the best experience!
Anything else i should know?
🔥We are a FARM WINERY and this is an AGRITOURISM EVENT. There are inherent dangers on a farm that could result in injury or death. Under Virginia law, there is no liability for the owners, promoters, or participants as a result of your coming to our farm to participate in this agritourism event. YOU ACCEPT ALL RISK by buying a ticket and attending! Signs displaying the Virginia law regarding this are properly displayed on the large tree directly facing you as you enter the driveway as well as at the ticket gate and other places throughout the farm.
