Today was the puppies first food. This is Royal Canin starter mouse. With a little goats milk. Both litters loved it. The best part is we also put in their p*e pads that look like grass. And about half of the pups went and used the pads throughout the afternoon and eve. Day 1 and they are getting the concept.
We have added their activity gyms to their areas as well.
We are also doing an item of the day. Something new each day for them.
We also have music playing for them or different sounds that play.
It's the beginning of such fun to watch them learn and grow. Next week we will be getting outside and working on potty training before play. The next 4 1/2 weeks is crucial but also the absolute most fun.

Pupdate... Lulu's litter is 3 weeks today and Sofie's will be 3 weeks Friday.
They still sleep the majority of the day but when they are awake it's for 5-10 min. Enough for me to sit with them and get nails trimmed, snuggle and just embrace the cuteness.
We are expecting ears to open any day. Teeth are coming in so we will be starting mash in a few days. Momma's are still taking care of them but they do get some breaks for them to go out and play, and to get loved on by us.
another week and weather permitting they will start going outside. We start potty training, and getting them exposed to the outside. All the different smells and noises. They will hear birds, loons, ducks, geese, squirrels, crabby chipmunks, Rooster 🐓
Cars, lawnmowers,weed whip, tractor.
They will see the boats go by and hear kids laughing while swimming. So much to be exposed to. We will start off with short visits outside but by 6 weeks they will spend a lot of time during the day outside. This is what's so great about spring / Summer litters.
We did have a family change to a different litter so we have a male available.

We also have Milo who was born 11/11/25.
He had a minor cleft palate but it's closed up almost completely and he needs no help eating or drinking. So he deserves a home with a family to continue spoiling him. Let us know if interested.

Puppies are doing well. They all had their first nail trims, ENS is still in progress. Eyes should be opening towards end of the week.
They are getting into their puppy piles and allowing their Momma's to get little breaks where they can come hang out with us for a little bit.
We have one female available. All others are reserved.
We will be posting a lot more once they are awake longer and starting to explore etc.

We are also looking to place Milo. ( Aka Little Dude). He was the miracle from Sofie's last litter. He started off life with a very minor cleft palate and an infection on his leg due to mom puncturing it while moving him.
He is doing so well he deserves a family of his own where he can be spoiled. ( Well more spoiled than he is here.)
His cleft is almost closed. We do not have to do anything special with his eating anymore.
Has all his vaccinations up to date.
He was about 95% potty trained but he has regressed a little. We have to have a pad down for Miko now our old girls and so Milo thinks it's ok to use. So he will need a refresher.
He is a very sweet boy. Loves to play.

Today has been a very busy day.
Not only did Lulu bless us with 9 beautiful puppies ( 7 boys, 2 girls) but we were also blessed with our granddaughter today.
All before 3am .......
We will be reaching out to families on our wait list once we catch up on some sleep.
We tag teamed it so Brian whelped the puppies while I was at the hospital waiting the arrival of Josie. Today Taylor Rynda stayed with the pups so Brian and I could head to the hospital to spend some time there together. Then Brian relieved Taylor so she and Jake could head to hospital.
Raising puppies is not something that can be done without supervision, hands on care 24/7. Especially the first few weeks when it's so easy for Mom to lay on a pup, and the weight of each pup being monitored throughout the day to make sure puppies are nursing and getting what they need. The first 2 days we let mom get in her grove, and we lay low on handling to much except to weight and make sure latching etc. But day 3 we start ENS , INS, desensitizing, and so many things throughout the 8 weeks we have them.
Sofie is due in about 4 days so the fun and chaos is just beginning. We are ready and can't wait!
