Welcome Cano, to our One Dog Family. Thanks to donations from caring supporters, we were able to help Robertson County Animal Control by treating Cano for his heartworm disease. He has since been pulled from the shelter by a rescue to help find his forever home!

Here are a few ways you can donate to our One Dog Program so we can continue helping Dogs like Cano:

1. Call the hospital and donate with a credit card 615-766-8023
2. Mail a check made out to MTVC at 910 Meadowlark Lane, Goodlettsville TN 37072. Mark the memo line with Cano.
3.Give to our non-profit fund through The Veterinary Care Foundation by visiting: https://veterinarycarefoundation.org/veterinary-practice-donation/

THANK YOU!

Many of you have asked for an update on Moses from our One Dog Program. We are happy to report that Moses’ initial surgery at to correct his liver shunt was successful and his liver function tests are now normal! However, Moses’ started developing episodes shortly after his surgery. He was evaluated by a neurologist (also at NVS) and diagnosed with rare disorder seen in Maltese dogs called Paroxysmal Dyskinesia. This is a movement disorder that causes sudden, involuntary movements. Unlike with seizures, Moses remains conscious and aware during these episodes. There is no cure for the disorder, but it can be managed with a gluten free diet. Moses was started on a prescription diet and is showing great improvement! If you come to our clinic be sure to say hi to Moses, he is usually found hanging out in the front office ❤️🐾

The third slide is a video of what the neurological episodes look like for those that are interested.

To help more dogs like Moses through our One Dog Program you are welcome to make a tax free donation at https://veterinarycarefoundation.org/veterinary-practice-donation/
