A week never passes without us waking up to new photos shared by our amazing Southern Springers’ families and their puppy adventures. It brings us so much joy to bring families these special moments. Each day, we spend several hours working with the pups both individually and in small groups. From early socialization and basic training to building confidence and curiosity, our goal is to prepare each puppy to be a joyful, well-adjusted companion for your family. This approach has grown out of more than 10 years of dedication, and many of our families have come back for their second or even third puppy—which is the best compliment we could receive.

The team there was lovely, attentive, and engaging from our first inquiry, through the pickup, and for weeks thereafter as our puppy—a girl named Percy—settled in at our house in Nashville. Percy came to us primed to be charming and well-behaved, which means that if she turns out badly, it’s on us, not on her family of origin! One of our greatest joys is receiving updates from our Southern Springers’ families on how their puppy is progressing! We just received word that Bim is well adjusted to city life. He is quite the showstopper and is protecting all the citizens in Central Park from squirrels and other moving vermin! Isn’t he gorgeous!?!? His family is raising him to be a true gentleman!

Puppy Announcement: We are expecting puppies in April from a recent breeding of Ten and Minnie (pictured here). Out waiting list for this breeding is half full so contact us soon if you are interested in taking home a June puppy from this breeding!

The best way to describe what choosing one of our dogs is like is to let our owners do it for us:

Yesterday was Visitation Day—the long-awaited moment when we begin pairing our growing puppies with their future families. It’s a day full of puppy kisses, happy tears, and so many smiles.

We thoughtfully prioritize temperament first, then gender, and finally physical characteristics. We spend a great deal of time learning about each family’s lifestyle, experience, and hopes, and we carefully observe each puppy to help make a match that shows every sign of being a wonderful fit.

We take this responsibility seriously because it matters—to the dog and to the family committing to 15+ years and a lifetime of memories together.

Every once in a while, something truly magical happens. Yesterday, a cardiology veterinarian selected a puppy, and only later—while looking back through younger puppy photos—did we notice the unmistakable heart marking on the puppy’s side, perfectly captured in this last image.

We don’t always get it perfect, but we try our very best. Because we believe that responsible breeding means doing everything we can to create the right fit—where both puppy and family can thrive. 🐾❤️
