Farm Sale - Saturday, Sept. 12th. 9am - 12pm. Store opens promptly at 9am. Cash or credit/debit cards accepted.

2765 Baecker Rd, off FM622 about 3 miles past Schroeder Hall going towards Goliad.

Tomato Plants - We still have some nice tomato plants available. Some Red Snapper, Jolene and STM-2255 (determinate slicer varieties), plus cherry types Mt. Magic, Sun Sugar, Black Cherry, Midnight Snack, Sun Cherry, and Juliet.

Produce - We will have a limited amount of shelled purple hull peas (frozen, vacuum sealed in 1 lb bags). This is the last of purple hulls for this year.

Baked goods - Loaves of Raisin bread, Cranberry bread, White bread, and mini loaves of Lemon Poppyseed with lemon glaze, and Carrot Cake with cream cheese icing and pecans.

Canned goods - Corn Relish, Spicy Corn Relish, and Pickled Banana Peppers. We also have pickled okra, Fire Stick Carrots, quarts of whole Dill, Kosher Dill, and Hot & Spicy pickles. We have pints of pickles, too - dill, kosher dill, hot & spicy, bread & butter, zesty bread & butter, and sweet pickles in either chips or spears.

Jams and Jelly - Mustang Grape, Lomanto Grape, Plum, Chile Pequin, Rooty Tooty Fresh 'n' Fruity, and Berrylicious jellies, plus Peach, Peach Jalapeno, Strawberry, Strawberry Fig, Strawberry Jalapeno, Strawberry Basil, and Tomato Jam*.

This is an update on the starter tomato plants, and unfortunately, it's not real good news.

Some of the plants got really sunburned after an application of liquid fertilizer. There was some residual fertilizer left on the plants that I apparently should have washed off, and the sun's effect on them was increased. I'm not positive that this it what caused it, but they were fine before.

I did find enough healthy plants to fill the orders that we had already received. I will send a message to those who ordered about picking up your plants. We will only have the quantity you ordered available at this time.

I'm going to suspend the sale on the rest of the plants this Saturday because, honestly, they aren't looking that great. I'm sure some of them will recover; if so, we'll have another sale on the 29th.

I'm really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you, and I'm pretty upset at myself too. Definitely one to put in the 'Don't do that again' category!

Fall tomato plants are growing nicely! These will be available at our Saturday market, Aug. 22nd. 9am - 12pm. Plants will be $3 each; they are in 3.5" pots.

If you placed an order for plants, we will have your plants pulled. Please pickup this Saturday - if not, make arrangements to pickup another day. If we don't hear from you the plants will be sold the following Saturday.

Slicer varieties available will be Red Snapper, Jolene, and STM-2255. We planted over 200 of the slicers, total.

Cherry varieties are Black Cherry, Juliet, Midnight Snack, Mountain Magic, Sun Cherry, and Sun Sugar. I didn't plant as many cherry types as slicers, a little over 50 plants total.

We are going to shut the Tuesday markets down for a while until we have more produce to offer. The Saturday markets will continue as usual - 9am - 12pm.

We will be open during the week on an appointment only basis - if you need a fix of pickles or jelly, send us a message and we'll setup a time for you to come out. Please do not come out without scheduling with us first; we're usually home but sometimes we do escape the farm for a while, lol.
