We are hand feeding a new baby bird at Pet House!! This 3 week old baby golden-capped conure is so sweet and adorable. This species of conure gets much larger and more vocal than the green cheek conures we normally carry. This is our first time hand feeding this species and he/she is so much fun!!

How tuff is the Fluval Flex? We are about to find out!! Last week one of our Fluval Flex aquarium kits was damaged by a car that drove into our store. The metal end cap absorbed most of the damage but we are all curious if the tank survived. Let us know in the comments if you think the tank is cracked and you will be entered in our Fluval Flex giveaway. To enter follow us and let us know your vote. We will be unboxing the tank in 7 days so get your votes in!! You must be 18 to enter and the winner must be able to pick up their free tank at our location in Goleta.

We have been getting a lot of concerned calls and messages about our sweet mama chameleon Lilly. Her cage is located in our front window and fortunately she was not injured in the accident. She wanted us to send out a proof of life so everyone could see that she is alive and healthy!!

I wanted to thank everyone for all the love and support you have shown Pet House in the last 24 hours! I have received so many kind phone calls and messages and the outreach and support has been so incredible. This really is such an amazing community!! I wanted to give everyone an update. The wonderful guys at Santa Barbara Teleconnect came this morning and got a register going for us. We are still cleaning up the store and making sure everything is safe for customers. If you need an item we are open for business however we are limiting entry to the store. Please give us a call if you are at the door and we can grab what you need. We should be open for business as usual by tomorrow. Here is a photo from our security camera that shows a before and after.

We are so sad to share that early this morning a vehicle drove into Pet House and destroyed our front counter and many of our fixtures. We are so relieved that no one was in the store at store at the time and all of the animals are safe and uninjured. Thank you to everyone that has reached out to offer support during this tragic event. We have spent the morning checking on all the animals and cleaning up. We hope to be open sometime tomorrow or Saturday. You can place online orders for pickup on our website however we are not offering delivery at this time. Visit pethouse.org to place an order or give us a call. Thank you again for everyone’s love and support!!
