Meet Lenny
Lenny can be people-selective dog, and we've observed something consistently during his time at the shelter: he is uncomfortable around many people, particularly men. When he feels threatened or unsure, he can become fearful and defensive.
Because of these behaviors, Lenny is Rescue-Only and needs placement with an experienced handler who understands fearful dogs and is committed to earning his trust through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
The beautiful thing about Lenny is that once you become his person, he completely melts. He is incredibly sweet, deeply affectionate, and fiercely loyal. The bond he forms is something truly special, it just isn't given away easily.
Lenny isn't the right fit for every home, and that's okay. He's looking for someone willing to meet him where he is, move at his pace, and help him continue building confidence through positive socialization.
We had the pleasure of talking with the sweet lady who found this sweet boy and Iām going to post here what she put about him and she spent three days two nights and three days I believe with him

This is lengthy but please read as THIS INFORMATION CAME STRAIGHT FROM THE FINDER. It tells a lot about what a great dog he is. He just needs the right home.
I recently had the pleasure of caring for Lenny for two nights while trying to locate his owner, & I wanted to share some details about what a wonderful dog he is. While it is true that he distrusts men, he has so many irresistible qualities that make him a truly special companion. He absolutely loved spending time with my daughter & me.
Lenny is highly intelligent & learns new things very quickly. During his stay, he did fantastic inside our home & had absolutely no accidents. He was incredibly well-behaved during grooming, doing great with both multiple baths & the blow dryer. He also slept in a crate with no fuss or hesitation, though he certainly loves to snuggle in bed. Additionally, he never tried to chew on anything, even when left alone for several hours.
He has excellent recall, came immediately when called, & enjoyed having the freedom to roam on our farm. He also absolutely loves water & gets along wonderfully with other dogs.
If you give Lenny a chance, he will undoubtedly be the most loyal, best friend you could ever ask for.
