🦎 Meet Flick!

This handsome chameleon came to see us at South Golden Pet Hospital after his family noticed he wasn’t feeling quite like himself and was having some respiratory troubles. He got some extra love and attention from Dr. Redd, and we’re hoping our little friend is back to his happy, curious self very soon!

Flick is such a beautiful little guy, and we’re so grateful his family trusted us to care for him. We’ll be cheering you on, Flick! Keep hanging in there, buddy. 🥹🧡

🎸 Willie Nelson rocked into South Golden Pet Hospital today! 🦎
This handsome bearded dragon came to see us after he decided food just wasn't his thing lately. While Dr. Redd gave him a thorough exam, we couldn't help but admire what a special guy he is.

Did we mention Willie Nelson is 12 years old?! That's an amazing age for a beardie, and he's still stealing hearts everywhere he goes. ❤️

We're wishing this sweet old gentleman a speedy recovery and many more sunny basking sessions, crunchy snacks, and happy adventures.

Some cats have a story that breaks your heart... and then they show you just how incredible resilience can be. This is a long post...strap in.

Hays is a young kitty with Angels With Paws who has endured more than most animals ever should. He is FIV positive, has a 4/6 heart murmur, recently fought through a severe upper respiratory infection, and survived a devastating leg injury that left one of his legs essentially degloved. Despite every setback, Hays has never stopped wanting love.

Today was another big milestone. He came in for a recheck after starting blood pressure medication to make sure he is healthy enough to undergo the dental procedure he desperately needs. Years of hardship have left him with severely diseased teeth, and this dental will help give him the comfort he deserves.

The amazing thing about Hays isn't everything he's been through—it's that after all of it, he still greets people with gentle eyes, soft purrs, and so much love to give. He doesn't know he's "special needs." He just knows he wants someone to love him.

We're asking our incredible community to help give Hays the happy ending he's waited so long for.

Some hearts are simply unforgettable. ❤️

Sweet T***s here has subaortic stenosis, but she never lets it define her. She faces every challenge with quiet strength, endless love, and the sweetest soul. She reminds us every day what courage truly looks like.

Her incredible mom not only takes amazing care of T***s, but she also takes care of all of us here at SGPH with amazing food and treats. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love—for both her girl and our team—never go unnoticed.

We are beyond grateful to be part of your journey, T***s. You'll always have a special place in our hearts. 🐾❤️

Meet Ghost! The cutest pittie with the biggest ears we ever did see!

Ghost stopped by to see us because his itchy skin and sores from being so itchy was making him anything but comfortable. While treats definitely helped keep his spirits up and some hilarious antics from Dr. Black, we're even happier knowing he's on the road to feeling better.

Itchy skin isn't just an annoyance—it can be a sign of allergies, infections, parasites, or other underlying issues. If your furry friend is scratching, licking, chewing, or shaking their head more than usual, don't ignore it. We're here to help them get back to feeling their best.

Behind every rescue pet is a village of people who refuse to give up on them.
From June through today, our team at South Golden Pet Hospital has performed 152 spays and neuters for rescue animals—all while continuing to care for the sick, injured, and beloved pets who walk through our doors every single day.
Each one of those 152 surgeries represents hope. Fewer unwanted litters. More resources for animals already waiting for homes. More wagging tails, happy purrs, and second chances.

Our South Golden Pet Hospital family is coming together to support one of our own during an incredibly difficult time, our amazing assistant becoming doctor, Adri!

A devastating earthquake has impacted our coworker's family and community in Venezuela. Many people have been left without access to basic necessities, and rescue efforts are ongoing. We are raising funds to help provide critical medical supplies, food, clean water, and equipment needed to support those affected.
