Nacho would like to make a few things clear.

1️⃣ He did NOT schedule an appointment with Dr. Jones.

2️⃣ He is still undecided about whether he likes Dr. Jones.

3️⃣ Just because the appointment was for his sister does NOT mean he should be excluded from the treat distribution. 😂

Nacho may not be Dr. Jones’ biggest fan (yet!), but he has decided that treats are an acceptable form of bribery.

We respect your terms and conditions, Nacho. 🤝🐾❤️

🐾 BOOP.

I’m sorry, but how are we supposed to look at Kodi and not immediately want to boop that nose?! 😂👆🐽

Those blue eyes. That smile. The giant nose coming straight for the camera.

And this is one of the things we love most about veterinary care at home — we get to meet pets in their world. In the house, in the yard, on their favorite bed… wherever they feel most comfortable.

At Altitude Animal Aid, we bring veterinary care directly to you, from routine wellness and vaccines to sick visits, senior care, pain and mobility support, and compassionate end-of-life care.

Less time getting your pet to the vet. More time actually getting to know them.

And, occasionally, resisting the urge to boop an exceptionally cute nose.

Kodi’s nose: 12/10. Would boop. 💜

🐶🐱 Dog or cat?!

Because… what cat voluntarily rolls over and asks the veterinarian for BELLY RUBS?!

Apparently, Keanu does.

Keanu was completely unbothered by his at-home exam and decided that Dr. Jones being on the floor meant one thing: more hands available for belly rubs.

No hiding. No judgmental cat glare. Just belly up, paws out, living his best life.

🏡 For cats, home visits just make sense.
🚗 No stressful car ride
🙀 No carrier battle
🐕 No unfamiliar animals or waiting room
❤️ Just veterinary care in their own space, on their terms

Keanu gives at-home vet visits two paws up… belly included. 😂🐾

🐕‍🦺🍂 Grab the leash — it’s National Walk Your Dog Week!

Walks aren’t just about burning calories. They provide physical exercise, mental stimulation, opportunities to sniff and explore, and quality time with you.

Your dog doesn’t need to power-walk the entire neighborhood for a walk to be worthwhile. Letting them stop, sniff and investigate their environment is enriching, too.

This week, try letting your pup pick the route or adding an extra 10 minutes of sniffing time.

👇 Tell us: Is your dog a POWER WALKER 🚀 or a STOP-AND-SNIFF-EVERY-BLADE-OF-GRASS kind of walker? 😂

Every shelter dog has a story — and adopting gives them the opportunity to start a brand-new chapter. ❤️

Choosing adoption not only gives one dog a home, it also opens space and resources for shelters and rescues to help the next animal who needs them.

Bringing home a newly adopted dog is exciting, but those first few weeks can also be a BIG adjustment. Give them time to decompress, establish a predictable routine, provide a safe place to retreat, and remember that their personality may continue to emerge as they become comfortable in their new home.

To celebrate Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, Altitude Animal Aid is offering 50% OFF a new-pet exam for dogs adopted during the month of October. 🐾

Simply show us your October adoption paperwork at your appointment.

Welcome home, pups. We can’t wait to meet you. 🏡❤️

🐾 It’s National Black Dog Day!

Did you know black dogs can sometimes be overlooked in shelters? Today is all about giving these gorgeous pups a little extra attention!

And while photographing a black dog may require approximately 847 attempts to capture something other than a mysterious black blob with eyeballs 😂📸… we think they’re pretty perfect.

🖤 Let’s fill the comments with black dogs!

🐾 October is National Pet Wellness Month!

One of the most important parts of veterinary medicine happens before your pet gets sick.

Routine wellness exams give us a chance to establish what’s normal for your pet, monitor changes over time, and identify subtle concerns that may not be obvious at home. Weight changes, dental disease, heart murmurs, new lumps, mobility changes, and other health concerns can sometimes be detected during an exam before they begin affecting your pet’s daily life.

At Altitude Animal Aid, we also want to know about the little things: Have their eating or drinking habits changed? Are they sleeping more? Hesitating before jumping? Slowing down on walks? Acting differently?

You know your pet best. Our job is to put all those pieces together.

This month, we’ll be sharing some of our favorite ways to help keep pets feeling their best at every stage of life.

🐱Meet Morgan!

Morgan had his kitten vaccines today, and his official review was: “I don’t care what you’re doing as long as the Churu keeps coming.” 😂

Treats like Churu aren’t just delicious distractions — using high-value rewards during veterinary visits can help create positive associations and make handling, exams and vaccines less stressful.

At-home visit + Churu = one pretty content little kitten. 🏡🐾

We think Morgan understood the assignment purrfectly.

👇 What’s the treat your pet would do ANYTHING for?

Message received, buddy. Great visit. Here’s your shoe. Door’s that way.

Honestly? That’s our favorite kind of review.

So many pets spend vet day shaking in a carrier, panting in the car, or hiding under a chair in a waiting room that smells like 40 other animals. And their people dread it just as much. Your pet shouldn’t have to be terrified to get good care.

When we come to you, your pet gets to be exactly who they are. Relaxed. Curious. A little bossy. Comfortable enough to tell the doctor when it’s time to go. 🐾 And a relaxed pet means a better exam, because we’re seeing the real them, not the scared version.

👇 What would YOUR pet bring the vet to show them the door? Tell us in the comments, or tag the friend whose dog would absolutely do this.
