Meet our Foothills alum, Bart! 🐾

“My fiancé and I adopted Bart in February, and in such a short time, this little timid puppy has made humongous strides. He loves playing his new friends in the neighborhood and his favorite toy is a piece of rope. He’s come out of his shell so much and we’re so grateful to have him in our lives. There’s nothing better than coming home and seeing his silly face. We can’t wait to see him grow.”

Meet Butterscotch 🐾

When this sweet girl arrived at Foothills as a stray in June, it was clear she had been through a lot. She had an open wound on her neck that needed immediate care, and further evaluation revealed that her front paws were causing her significant pain from a previous declawing procedure.

Butterscotch needed a safe place to heal. Foothills was here to provide the care she deserved, creating a space where she felt safe showing off her playful personality and growing comfortable in her paws.

Celebrate International Dog Day by helping Finn find his home! 🐾

Finn is a sensitive yet energetic guy who’s ready to find a family to call his own. He has a fun personality and enjoys spending time with the people around him. His personality really shines when playing with stuffed toys in the yards, bouncing and bounding, tossing them into the air. During a recent hike, he exploded with joy when his feet touched the water, splashing and playing with the running stream. Swimming in the deeper water wasn’t quite graceful…yet! With time and patience, Finn may become that companion you are looking for.

Meet our Foothills alum, Wiley! 🐾

"We happily rescued Wiley from your shelter in September of 2024! His name was something else then...but he goes by Wiley now. 😊

He is the perfect puppy. He is gentle, kind, quiet, and HILARIOUS. He goes to work with one of us every day, and has lots of friends! He gets along with all living creatures, big and small. We were a bit worried when we first brought him home, because we've never had a dog before, and we have 2 cats. Things could've gone very wrong, but they went very right.

Thank you so much for saving him so that we could bring him home."

We need your help restocking our community shelf! 🐾

As part of our commitment to caring for the pets and people of Jefferson County, our community shelf is a vital resource stocked for the community, by the community. We're currently in need of both dog and cat food as well as cat litter! We rely on the generosity of our network to ensure this free resource is available to anyone who needs it.

We happily accept any unexpired cat or dog food (containers can be open!), and are also in need of cat litter. You can also order items directly from our Amazon and Chewy wishlists to be delivered to Foothills, or feel free to drop by our donation sheds with any items you may wish to donate! https://linktr.ee/foothillsanimal
