Meet Faye 🌈🐾
Wildhearted’s mascot, Annika’s original teacher, and the dog who started it all.

Faye came into Annika’s life as a happy, goofy puppy — full of joy, personality, and big feelings. But around a year old, things changed. Almost overnight, Faye became reactive to dogs and people, sometimes from as far away as a football field.

Annika knew she had to learn how to help her — quickly, kindly, and safely.

So she researched.
She worked with trainers.
She learned what Faye needed to move through the world with more confidence, more safety, and more joy.

And somewhere along the way, Annika realized something important:

She wasn’t alone.

There are so many people out there loving dogs with big feelings, complicated needs, tender hearts, and wild little spirits. Dogs who are not “bad.” Dogs who are not broken. Dogs who simply need understanding, patience, structure, and support.

Faye is 11 now — sausage-shaped thanks to the high chair diet, a little grumpy, deeply loved, and living her best old diva life.

She is the heart behind Wildhearted Dog Co.

Big feelings. Big lessons. Big love. 💜

Big news — A & T Pet Services has a new name, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you: we are officially Wildhearted Dog Co.
This isn't just a new name. It's a reflection of who we've always been and where we're headed. For the past 4 years, we've had the privilege of working with dogs and their people throughout our community — through training, through in-home pet sitting, through the hard days and the huge wins. Backed by over a decade of hands-on experience, we've built our business on one simple belief: every dog deserves big love, bold personalities and judgment-free care.
Wildhearted is who we've been all along. We live out loud. We love color, chaos, and the messy, beautiful process of helping dogs (and their humans) feel more confident in the world. Every dog deserves patience, respect, and an approach built on trust instead of fear.
Same dedication. Same expertise. Same faces you know and trust. Just a new name that finally matches the heart behind the work.

🐾 We Are Here For You, a Real World post— meet Faye.
Faye didn't come from a hard past — no rescue story, no trauma history. She was sweet and friendly until she turned one, and then almost overnight became intensely reactive to dogs, people, and the world. Her mom, Annika, one of our trainers here at Padfoot Pets, felt completely alone in it. She'd scroll through her feed seeing other dogs out at breweries and hiking trails while she was rerouting walks and avoiding everything. She felt ashamed, embarrassed, like she was failing her dog. She was a trainer — and she couldn't fix her own dog. Sound familiar?
Annika dug in anyway. No force, no shortcuts — just patience, consistency, and a commitment to understanding what Faye needed week by week, setback by setback.
