Good morning! ☀️🐾 Here’s a little catch-up of some of the sweet faces from the last couple of days. ❤️

Just a reminder that I am officially on vacation! I will not be answering calls, texts, Facebook messages, or any other business messages while I’m away. All messages will be answered once I’m back and return to work.

In the meantime, online booking is still available for anyone looking to schedule an appointment. 🐶✂️

Just a reminder that I’m having a procedure today, so please give me some time to rest and heal and hold off on reaching out unless you already have an appointment scheduled over the next couple of days.

Those existing appointments are still on as scheduled. Outside of that, I’ll be unavailable for calls, texts, messages, and booking requests while I’m away.

I will also be out of the country and will not be monitoring or responding to messages. Sending multiple messages while I’m away will not get a faster response and may result in unnecessary international messaging or data charges.

I really appreciate everyone respecting my time off and allowing me to fully disconnect for a few days. I’ll respond to anything that comes in once I’m back and available again.

Got skunked? 🦨🐾

Mess-E-Mutts is now offering de-skunking baths using Iv San Bernard’s Close / Open / Close method.

👉 A few important things to know first: don’t immediately soak your dog with water. Skunk spray is oil-based, and water alone won’t break that oil down. A treatment should be applied first to help loosen and lift the residue.

With Ive San Bernard's method, the first conditioning step helps break down the oily skunk residue, the coat is then thoroughly cleansed, and a final conditioning step helps close the cuticle and restore moisture.

🚨 Please do not bring a freshly sprayed dog directly to the salon. The odor can quickly spread through the salon and into my home, so contact me first.

🚨 De-skunking is by appointment only and is not an emergency service. Depending on my schedule, these appointments may need to be booked outside of regular grooming hours, but please do not call or message me in the middle of the night because your dog was sprayed. I’ll respond during my normal communication hours and get you scheduled as soon as I’m able.

🚨 Re-bathing in 3–5 days is recommended to help minimize any residual odor.

If fleas are found on your dog at any point during the appointment, the groom will need to stop, even if it is only one flea.

Once a dog is being dried, fleas can easily be blown off the coat and into the salon. I am not a flea-treatment service, so the appointment cannot continue once fleas are found.

The full grooming fee will still be due. Additional charges may also apply if I have to close the salon, disinfect, and cancel appointments scheduled after yours.
