Fab fosters answered Fiona’s three- year plea to get out of a kennel. Look how different she looks! She’s never been so at ease! We would love potential adopters to keep inquiring while she decompresses and transitions from long-term boarding to a home environment! Next up is working directly with a positive reinforcement trainer. She’s already a great girl, so imagine how she’ll blossom under personal care and confidence building!

Fiona has beauty, brains, and a penchant for playing with balls. Mainly a German Shepherd Dog with a little Black Lab, she’s 6-½ years-old, about 70 pounds, and located near Wrentham, MA. She could play fetch all day. Every day. You can’t imagine how much she loves chasing and fetching balls! Having spent so much time in a facility, she’s been through a lot. She’d really benefit by having adopters as part of her life while she’s being fostered. She will need loving and patient adopters to complete the final step of her long journey – giving her a forever home!

Hugo the Magnificent is a very handsome 6-7-year old Lab/Great Dane mix at the Cranston Animal Shelter, RI. All dogs deserve a good home, but we feel Hugo takes the cake for deserving a rescue hero.

Hugo has a history of abuse and was previously deprived of toys over concerns of resource guarding. He now has access to toys and enrichment, and staff simply use appropriate management techniques, such as trading for items rather than taking them away. Duh!

He’s done so well that he’s become Mr. Popularity with staff and his many fans! Please consider meeting this lovely boy who was long misunderstood. He’s a giant gem.

Khalessi is a medium-sized adult dog with puppy-dog eyes. She is sweet and loving, and her adorable polka dots are like icing on a cake. She’s looking for a quiet place to call home where she can be among adults like herself. She also prefers being your one-and-only companion. Once she knows you, you’ll find her affection and wiggle factors are at a competitive level.

Khalessi came to the Cranston Animal Shelter as a stray. Every day she’s making great progress socializing with people. Her confidence is up, and she’s incredibly affectionate, playful, and gentle! Because of her limited back story, the staff is getting to know what makes her tick. They’re spending time with her while providing the consistency every dog needs. Someone walks her almost daily and she gets regular time outside of her kennel. With continued handling and positive experiences, she is becoming more trusting and comfortable with adults.

Khalessi would love a forever home with a fenced-in backyard where she can relax, play, and enjoy her people. She would do best in a home with routine that doesn’t have a lot of people coming and going. A simple, stable life makes her happiest. Just like all Boxers, Remy has a face that’s impossible to resist! This sweet 6-year-old, 50-pound male is located in North Andover, MA. He is a delight for the people he currently lives with and gets along very well with resident dogs. He does need time to get to know new people and new dogs. He gets anxious when strangers get too close to him and his loved ones. He is currently training to transfer some of that calm inner spirit to situations that make him uncomfortable by being introduced to new people while out on walks.

Wondering why such a nice dog needs a new home? Plainly put, his owner abandoned him. Fortunately, a very empathetic person realized Remy would not do well in a shelter environment. She and her family are taking care of him until he finds a good home. However, with a move coming up, they can care for him only until Dec 1. Ideally we’d like to see him settled into his new home well before the holidays begin.

This is a home-to-home adoption with guidance from a rescue that stresses safe and responsible rehoming. To make Remy’s and his new family’s transition as successful as possible, it is best to have at least a few meet and greets. Older dog-savvy kids, and a compatible dog are ok. URGENT! FOSTER or ADOPTER wanted for Yoshi. This one-year-old, 50-pound bully mix is playful, energetic, and very smart! He loves fetch, running, backyard adventures, walks, training, treats, indoor playtime, and showing off his amazing agility skills. And after all that fun, he’s perfectly happy to settle down and relax with the people he loves.
Yoshi graduated from puppy dog training and his current family has done lots of work to help him be his best. However, Yoshi is very nervous around new people and other dogs. Before being adopted, he missed out on socialization experiences during his puppy months. Rest assured — this setback does not define him or his potential!
Yoshi couldn’t be loved more, but unfortunately he’s unable to overcome ‘stranger danger’ stress in a very busy household with young children. Though with loved ones, he is a different dog. He is content and calm when the atmosphere is predictable and only the people he knows are with him.

Meet Strider! This 5-year-old nicely sized pittie mix of 53 pound can be described in many ways, including loving, playful, goofy, friendly, affectionate, and cuddly. His favorite activities are playing fetch, running around outdoors, and being a great adventure buddy.
Strider enjoys children, but due to his size, it’s best he only lives with kids over 7 years old. He gets along with some dogs, but prefers to being an only pet. Full disclosure – he has gotten into fights with his current dog sibling who is bigger, faster, and has more testosterone.
