🌟 Spotlight of the Week: Char! 🌟

Some people become part of a barn, and some people help make it feel like home. Char is one of those people. As one of our OGs, she’s grown up here, and over the years, she’s become such a big part of what makes our barn the family it is. She’s the face of our younger riders, someone they can look up to, learn from, and feel comfortable around. The way she welcomes new people, offers help without being asked, and brings so much kindness and positive energy into the barn is something that shouldn’t go unnoticed.

One thing that has always stood out about Char is how much she cares for her lease horse, Pixi. Even on days when riding isn’t an option, she still makes time to come out and spend time with her. Whether she’s giving Pixi a good hose-down on a hot day, grooming her, or showering her with treats and scratches, Char understands that being a good horsewoman doesn’t stop when the riding does. She puts just as much love into the days when she isn’t getting anything out of it for herself, and that says so much about the kind of person she is.

Char is also one of the hardest-working young people I know. She carries herself with a level of maturity and responsibility that you don’t see from some adults, and she’s always willing to lend a hand, step up when something needs to be done, and learn something new. She is always willing to listen, take advice, and continue growing, both as a rider and as a horsewoman. She started riding at a young age, and it’s been so rewarding to watch her grow into not only a talented equestrian, but also a kind, dependable, and thoughtful young woman.

What makes Char special goes far beyond her riding. It’s the way she treats people, the example she sets for the younger kids, and the energy she brings with her every time she walks through the barn doors. Those are the things that make people feel welcome, build friendships, and turn a group of people who love horses into a barn family.

Char, we hope you know how much you mean to this barn and the people in it. You’ve grown up here, but you’ve also helped make this place what it is for the people growing up here now. We’re so proud of you and so lucky to have you as one of our OGs. Keep being the amazing person and horsewoman you are! 💗🐴

✨Spotlight of the Week: Sarah ✨

There are a lot of things we could say about Sarah, but honestly, most of them fall under one category: Sarah Core.

After at least five years of riding with us, you’d think we’d have Sarah figured out by now. We don’t. Try having any conversation about horses with Sarah without it somehow turning into a discussion about why Nico is the better horse. 😂 Between the comments, the laughs during lessons, and the way she holds it down at every show, Sarah always gives us something to talk about. And if you’ve ever heard her on the microphone at a show, you know that giving her one is always an experience. (Maybe a mistake, but an experience.)

Jokes aside, Sarah is also one of the barn’s best big sisters. She’s great with the little ones, whether she’s encouraging them when they’re nervous, helping them feel more confident, or just being silly with them. Her background in therapy probably comes in handy, but she has a way of making the kids feel comfortable without even trying.

After five years, she’s become such a familiar part of life at Areion. She brings the laughs, shows up for her people, and makes the barn a little more fun just by being herself. We wouldn’t have Sarah any other way, even if we do have to hear about Nico being the best horse in the world for the rest of our lives. 😂

Every barn needs a Sarah Summers, and we’re lucky to have ours. ❤️

There’s really no explaining Sarah Core. You just have to experience it.
