Today we're highlighting another one of our long-stay residents who is SO deserving of a forever home. Meet T-Bone! 💙

When T-Bone first arrived at the shelter 139 days ago, he was in absolutely heartbreaking condition. This poor boy was nothing but skin and bones. Fast forward to today, and he has completely transformed! He's filled out beautifully, is happy and healthy at a perfect weight, AND has successfully completed heartworm treatment! 🎉

Now, all this sweet boy needs is a family to call his own. ❤️

And trust us, T-Bone has SO much to offer!

🐾 He's only 1 year old!
🐾 He's WONDERFUL with other dogs and gets along with dogs of all different play styles!
🐾 He's been on outings outside of the shelter and has been an amazing companion!
🐾 He's incredibly gentle and sweet with kids!

T-Bone is still working on building his confidence in new environments, but after everything he's been through, can you blame him? We have no doubt that with a patient, loving family to show him the world, this boy will continue to blossom.

It's hard to believe that T-Bone has spent such a huge portion of his young life in the shelter. He's overcome so much already, and we desperately want the next chapter of his life to be filled with everything he's been missing - a cozy bed, adventures with his people, doggy playdates, and most importantly, a family who loves him. 🥹

T-Bone has done the hard part. He's gotten healthy, completed his treatment, and shown us what a wonderful dog he is. Now it's our turn to find him the home he deserves!

Today marks 200 days since Sadie came to the shelter. 200 days of waiting for a family to call her own, and we truly cannot understand how this PERFECT girl is still here. 🥺

Sadie has proven time and time again that she is an absolutely amazing dog. She's been on countless outings, even enjoyed a sleepover outside of the shelter, and has been nothing short of wonderful!! ❤️

🐾 Loves EVERYONE she meets!
🐾 Loves other dogs!
🐾 Did great with cats!
🐾 House trained AND crate trained!

Seriously, WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR?! 🥹

Sadie has developed quite the fan club among our volunteers, and we think they describe her best:

💕 "Sadie is my best girl. She never fails to greet me with a huge pittie smile and a whole body wiggle. She loves her people, her dog friends, strangers she meets in passing... I'm just kidding, Sadie has never met a stranger. She is an absolute snugglebug and a butterball of sunshine. I love her so much!"

💕 “Sadie is my favorite girl because she has the biggest smile, the sweetest soul, and enough love in her heart to be everyone’s best friend. She is an absolute gem of a dog!!"

Sadie is the kind of dog who makes everyone around her smile. She's sweet, affectionate, social, and has SO much love to give. She has spent 200 days making our volunteers fall more and more in love with her, but what she really deserves is a family of her very own. We love Sadie more than words can describe, but we are SO ready to see her leave the shelter for good! 🫶

120 DAYS. 💔

That's how long Dodge has been waiting at the shelter. 120 days without any adoption interest, and we truly cannot figure out WHY!!

Dodge is 2 years old, 64 lbs, and quite literally the TOTAL PACKAGE. He's handsome, incredibly sweet, affectionate, great with other dogs, and wonderful with kids. Seriously, what more could you ask for?! 🥹

Dodge has been lucky enough to attend a few events outside of the shelter recently, and the reviews are IN!

✨ "Dodge was a great dog at the events! Well behaved and sweet to all. He is a big love bug!"

✨ “Dodge was the star of the show! In fact he spent a good portion stretched out on the grass with four teenage girls taking turns loving on him. And a mom and a baby sat down next to him and he gave the baby big kisses and she squealed and reached for more. He was an amazing dog!"

HOW IS THIS DOG STILL HERE?!

Dodge absolutely loves playing with his dog friends at the shelter and has done an amazing job meeting new dogs at events. He's just as happy soaking up attention from people of all ages, and it seems like everyone who meets him falls in love.

He's the kind of dog who makes you wonder how anyone could possibly pass him up. He's fun, loving, social, and has SO much to offer a family. Yet somehow, 120 days have gone by without anyone choosing him. 🥺

We know there is a family out there who is going to feel like they hit the jackpot when they bring Dodge home. We just need to find them. ❤️

Meet Falcon! 💙

Have you EVER seen a cuter pocket pittie?! 😍 This handsome little guy is 4 years old, 42 lbs, and absolutely adorable. But make sure you read his whole post to see if you're the right fit for him! Falcon may be small, but he has BIG opinions. 😂❤️

This little guy can take some time to warm up to new people, but once you're in, you're IN. We're talking flopping over for belly rubs, covering you in kisses from head to toe, and showing you just how much love he has to give. 🥹

The key to Falcon's heart? Patience! When meeting new people, he does best when you take things slow and let him approach you on his own terms. His whole world was turned upside down when he found himself in the shelter, so we can't blame him for needing a little time to figure out who he can trust.

Because of this, a home with older, respectful kids who understand his boundaries would be the best fit. Falcon needs a family who will give him the space and patience to settle in, and in return, they'll get one incredibly affectionate little best friend. ❤️

Falcon's neuter appointment is coming up, but we're already accepting adoption applications so we can start searching for his perfect forever home!

Meet Aphrodite! 💕 If you're looking for a dog who is pure JOY, look no further than Aphrodite!

This 1 year old, 50 lb girl is an absolute bundle of happiness who loves just about everyone she meets. She's sweet, silly, outgoing, and has SO much love to give! ❤️

One of Aphrodite's favorite things in the world? OTHER DOGS! 🐶 She absolutely loves her doggy friends and is a big fan of playing hard. She would LOVE a forever home with a playful dog sibling who can match her energy and keep the fun going!

Aphrodite has also recently gotten to enjoy a few outings outside of the shelter, and she's been AMAZING! We've learned that this girl is an absolute love bug with kids and completely lights up when she's around them. 🥹 Because she's still a young, excitable girl, sturdy, dog-savvy kids who won't mind her enthusiasm would be the best fit!

Aphrodite is just one of those dogs who makes everyone around her smile. She's got a big personality, an even bigger heart, and so much excitement for life. We just know she's going to bring endless happiness to one very lucky family.

Meet Maxine! 🩷

If you're looking for an amazing puppy, you have to meet Maxine!

Maxine is an 8 month old, 30 lb terrier mix, and we seriously cannot say enough good things about this sweet girl. She is an absolute sweetheart who is going to make one very, VERY lucky family incredibly happy! 🥹❤️

And just wait until you hear how amazing she is…

🐾 Reportedly dog, cat, AND kid friendly!
🐾 House trained!
🐾 Doing well on a leash!

Seriously, what more could you ask for?!

Of course, Maxine is still a puppy, so her future family should be prepared for all the fun that comes with raising a young dog. She may need a little house training refresher as she settles into her new home, but she's already off to a great start!

Maxine is sweet, adorable, and has her whole life ahead of her. We have a feeling whoever adopts this girl is going to spend a whole lot of time wondering how they got so lucky. ❤️

🚨 AUGUST NEEDS A HOME!🚨

August has come so far, but he cannot stay in his temporary foster home forever. He desperately needs a permanent foster or, even better, an adopter who will give him the safe, stable home he’s been waiting for. ❤️

When August first came into the shelter, he was incredibly shut down. He needed time to decompress and learn that people could be trusted. Thanks to some much-needed patience and care, he has made incredible progress, but it’s clear that a shelter environment is not where this boy belongs.

What does August need? A home. A place where he can finally relax, feel safe, and continue coming out of his shell!

🐾 He is housetrained
🐾 He is crate trained
🐾 He is great on leash
🐾 He absolutely LOVES other dogs and would thrive with canine siblings
🐾 And despite that serious looking resting pittie face (RPF)… he is an absolute sweetheart. ❤️

August has already waited long enough. He has done his part. He has opened up, made progress, and shown us the sweet dog underneath that worried exterior. Now he needs someone to choose him.

If you can foster August permanently or give him an adoptive home, please don’t wait. And if you can’t, please share this post far and wide!!
