📣 Calling all Boston Terrier lovers! 📣

Meet Duncan, a 9 year old, 26 lb bundle of personality who's on the hunt for his true forever home! ❤️

Duncan has bounced from home to home before finding himself at the shelter, and we're determined to make sure his next stop is his last! This sweet senior deserves a family that will love him for the rest of his days. 🫶

He's everything you'd expect from a Boston Terrier - friendly, smart, energetic, and full of charm! Duncan loves everyone he meets, enjoys getting out and about, and already has great leash manners, making him the perfect walking buddy.

If you already have a dog at home, we'd be happy to arrange a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along. Duncan would do best in an adult-only home or one with older children where he can settle in and thrive!

✨ Meet Layla! ✨

At just 8 months old, Layla is ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for! We think this gorgeous girl is a flat coated retriever mix, and she has the sweetest personality to match.

Layla's world has been turned upside down recently, so she can be a little shy when meeting new people. But with a few treats, some kind words, and a little patience, her wiggly, goofy puppy side comes bursting out and she'll quickly become your new best friend!

This sweet girl already has amazing leash manners, is dog friendly, and is ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family who will love her unconditionally.

Layla has so much love to give and can't wait to trade shelter life for cozy beds, adventures, and endless belly rubs. Could you be the one to give this deserving pup her happily ever after?

We absolutely LOVE getting adoption updates!!! 🫶 Bernadette spent 2 years waiting to find her forever home and last December she couldn’t have found a more perfect one 💕 Here is an update from her mom:

"Bernadette has fully conquered her new home. This queen of sofa cushions, connoisseur of cookies, devourer of grass, and enthusiast of face kissing sits at the center of her parents' lives (and, more often than not, on our laps). She's beloved by a whole new village of grandparents and aunts and uncles and groomers and veterinarians. Her biggest concern these days is picking which toy she wants to play with (and how to escape bathtime).

It's evident to our family that GCAC, and Bernie's dedicated long-term foster family, prepared her not just to survive - but to enjoy the full breadth of joy that comes from trusting humans. She's so comfortable welcoming guests and new friends, that we can count on one hand the number of times she's barked since her adoption in December.

It's hard to describe how much joy she's brought to our home, especially in a difficult season of our lives. We're forever grateful to each officer and volunteer who helped rescue little Bernadette, and we want you to know she's happy, healthy and very much loved."

Happy adoption day to Sergeant!!! ❤️🐶🎉 This sweet guy has come so far since he came to the shelter incredibly skinny and with hair loss. With some time and tlc, he has truly become such a wonderful, handsome guy! We couldn’t be more excited for his next chapter with his new family. Thank you for choosing to adopt a shelter dog!! 🫶

🚨 Alright, we need your help! 🚨

Brownie desperately needs a foster home 🥺

This sweet young guy has been on quite a journey trying to heal his skin. While he was slowly improving, his hair loss recently took a turn for the worse. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our volunteers, Brownie was able to undergo extensive allergy testing, and we finally got some answers! It turns out he has a severe allergy to yeast, which is found in many dog foods and treats.

The good news? Brownie is now on the correct food and treats, and we're hopeful he's finally on the right path to feeling better. What he desperately needs now is a foster home where he can continue to heal and recover in a low-stress environment ❤️

We know taking on a medical foster can sound intimidating, but we will be with you every step of the way. We'll provide all the supplies, guidance, and support you need to help Brownie succeed 🫶🐶

And now for the best part - Brownie himself!

🐾 Dog-friendly
🐾 Walks beautifully on a leash
🐾 Rides great in the car
🐾 Has received rave reviews from volunteers on his outings
🐾 Would do best in an adult-only home while he heals

Hi everyone. My name is Spice. I am 10 yrs old and looking for a forever home. I came to GCAC as a stray, just covered in ticks on my whole little body. She has a little bit of hair loss on her back , but has started to grow back. She would love to sit quietly on someone lap. She does good with other dogs and most likely cats too. Meet Hershey! 🩵

At 7 years old and 70 pounds, Hershey is a big sweetheart with an even bigger heart. Despite his size, he's a dream to walk and gets so excited every day when volunteers stop by to give him the love and attention he adores.

Hershey also enjoys spending time with his best doggie friend, Sergeant (check out Sergeant's post if you haven't already!). This handsome boy has even been on outings to Petco, where he did great in the car and met other dogs and kids! And have you seen his striking blue eye? It's just one of the many things that makes Hershey so special.

After waiting patiently, Hershey is more than ready for a forever home of his own. He has so much love to give and deserves a family who will cherish him for the amazing dog he is. Could that family be yours? ❤️🐶 Email [email protected] for an application on this wonderful boy! ⭐️
