A BIG thank-you to our friends at for hosting the cutest workout ever: KITTEN YOGA! 🧘‍♀️🐱💕

Cat lovers and studio owners Robyn and Nathan welcomed our kittens to their Beverly studio at the Cummings Center, and 100% of ticket sales were donated to Cape Ann Animal Aid to help homeless animals in our care!

We’re so grateful for friends like Tiger Lily Yoga Studio who open their doors (and their hearts!) to help animals in need. Thank you for being such wonderful friends to CAAA and all the cuties we care for! 🐾

Guppy's grey muzzle is simply a reflection of the years of love he has given and received, and this 11-year-old boy is ready to provide lots of it in his golden years!

Guppy was adopted in 2016 and spent many years in a home with his sister Riley. They were recently surrendered back to the shelter due to a change in his owner's living situation. Despite his age and recent circumstances, Guppy still has his playful puppy side and lots of affection for people. He has a shining personality and the sweetest disposition - all he needs is someone ready to give a senior dog the happy ending he deserves!

Talk about a transformation! These are the happy tails that adoption makes possible. King Scrungle came in incredibly matted, with a "wound of unknown origin" that required a 4-month medical hold. This handsome boy was adopted within a week of being cleared from his quarantine, and here he is now, in the lap of luxury!

Letter from Rockford

Dear CAAA and Facebook friends,

It’s my 1-year adopt-aversary! Mom said I could write to you directly.

It has been such an exciting year.

Since I came from Georgia, I was not prepared for the snow. It was so deep –taller than me! Mom got me a special coat – I look good in red, don’t you think.

We have had many wildlife adventures. Mom and I saw lots of rabbits, deer and coyotes, all peaceable. I did have a bit of a run-in with a turkey though. I was minding my own business, sniffing the high grass as we walked near a meadow. With no provocation (well, mom said there was probably a nest), a big turkey charged at me flapping her wings. It was a little scary. Mom had to struggle to keep the two of us apart. I tried not to take it personally.

Over the past year, I got to hang out a lot with my buddy Barron as well as my “Auntie Em” (Grandma’s dog, Emma). Oh, and I landed an occasional teaching assistant position with my mom.

My sister, Chicky, and I are getting along better too. Every night, we touch noses while mom brushes each of us. Mom got me a new friend too, Foxy, who is always willing to play or nap with me.

Hope everyone is having a good summer, and more pups find their homes too.

Spooky was surrendered at 8 years old to the shelter through no fault of her own. CAAA's team worked hard to get her skin and allergy conditions under control, and now she's proving that adopting a senior dog can be one of the most rewarding experiences out there! Here she is, now known as Sade, loving life in her furever home alongside her new best friend S**o.

We're honored to be part of so many Happy Tails, and it is so heartwarming to see a situation that once felt hopeless become one of constant companionship and contentment. 🥰 Happy Tails, Spooky!

🎉 Toothless got the all-clear! 🎉

Toothless had his echocardiogram today, and we have wonderful news: the cardiologist found no structural changes to his heart and has no concerns about his cardiac health. ❤

That means Toothless is cleared for surgery and, once he’s recovered, will be ready to find his forever home! 🏡 He was the best boy for his exam, and it’s safe to say everyone who met him fell a little bit in love. 🥹

A huge thank you to everyone who donated through Toothless’s post and helped make it possible for him to get the specialist care he needed. Your support got this sweet boy one big step closer to his happily ever after!
