Petrie, Spike and Little Foot visited the pond at the Glenpool Conference Center this morning. It was a very peaceful time with only one other person there. The dogs did okay walking on leashes and enjoyed their time away from the shelter. These 3 boys along with their 2 sisters were living in their backyard with 2 adult dogs prior to coming to the shelter. They have not gotten to enjoy being a part of a family yet or had any time of training or puppy enrichment. We were told by their previous owner that they are German Shepherd and pitbull mix. We were also told they were born in April but they have all their adult teeth so we think they are at least 6-7 months old and given their size it makes more sense for them to be older. They do okay with leash walking but have some hesitations at times. We are unsure if they are house trained as we schedule feedings to give them plenty of time to potty before coming inside the shelter for the day. They are all sweet dogs with Petrie being the most affectionate and needy. They have been exposed to cats and have some curiosity but no aggression.

Alvin tried to get the attention of others at the adoption event but that didn’t work. He’s still at the shelter waiting to be adopted. Adoption fees are waved this week.

Alvin the shark is still available for adoption. Alvin absolutely loves the water, going on hikes and runs and playing with other dogs. Adoption fee is currently waved.
