Labor Day is a chance to recognize and appreciate the people who work hard every day, and we think that includes our incredible Shawna’s Dogs team!

Our staff spends their days loving, supervising, cleaning up after, entertaining, and caring for your pups, and we believe they deserve a day to put their feet up, recharge, and enjoy some well-earned time with their own people (and pets!).

Meet Jordan 👋🐾

If you’ve ever gotten a text, email, phone call, invoice, schedule update, random question answered, or “hey, just checking in about your dog…” message from Shawna’s Dogs… chances are, you’ve talked to me!

I’m Jordan, and I’ve been part of Shawna’s Dogs since 2018. I became Office Manager in 2020, and over the last couple of years, my role slowly evolved into taking on more and more of the day-to-day operations. Since Shawna’s passing, I’ve stepped fully into keeping the business running behind the scenes.

So while you may not see my face quite as much as the rest of our team, I’m usually somewhere around here wearing approximately 47 different hats:

But truly, this place is so much bigger than one person, and I could not do what I do without our incredible team. They make this job infinitely easier, keep me laughing, and most importantly, take amazing care of your dogs every single day. ❤️

We had the pleasure of having Joey attend daycare for a few months. He is a happy-go-lucky pup with a lot of energy! Joey would make a fantastic companion for someone active who has a fenced yard where he can run to his heart's content. We also think he would love having a "job" to do, like participating in an agility or scent class. If you think Joey might be the right fit for you, please inquire with Homeward Bound or, better yet, come meet him at their adoption clinic this weekend!

If you’re looking for an upbeat, affectionate dog who keeps life fun, Joey is your guy. He’s curious, playful, and always up for an adventure—whether that’s exploring the yard, romping around with dog friends, or hanging out with kids. Once he’s burned off his energy, he’s more than happy to settle in for some serious cozy cuddle time.

Kids & Dogs: Great with both! He loves having playmates to socialize with.
House Manners: Mostly house-trained with minimal accidents.
Nighttime Routine: Sleeps soundly in his crate all night without a peep.
Smart & Food-Motivated: He will do just about anything for a treat, which makes training a breeze.
