Dixie💜💙- Our dear princesses you would’ve been 34 this year. To say we miss you is an understatement, you’ve given us so much joy and have shown so many people how amazing it is to care and love horses! We miss you and hope you’re enjoying the green pastures!

Trixie💙- Dearest Trixie you would’ve been 38 this year! We have to thank you for everything! You’re the one who got Dana into riding and training! You’re spicy personality for versatility and your calm and sweet demeanor at home with everyone. You are missed so greatly and hope your enjoying the green pastures with your boyfriend Remi!

Robbie💙- The drama king would’ve been 19! We remember your stud days lol how time flies! You’ve got such a goofy personality especially with your bestie CJ. We hope you enjoy your trail rides with to girl!

Bobby💙- just a few weeks ago you left this earth at 29, this month you could’ve made it to 30. From the awesome lesson horse to the perfect retiree companion. You taught everyone so much you always had such a big heart showing compassion and love to all. You are loved and missed greatly go hang with your herd out in the heavenly pastures!

Allegra💜- Your the big 18! Although you joined us later in life it was so cool getting to know your funny personality, especially your scratchy spots! Though we sadly didn’t get much saddle time on you I hope your getting ridden all over alongside your brother on the trails! You’re such a pretty girl and hope you’re enjoying your birthday!

Peeps💕- The princess herself would’ve been 22! Your loving and kind soul has left us too soon, you were taken far to soon! You’ve made such a huge impact for us giving your all for lessons being the fancy show horse you are while also being the biggest snuggler at the barn. We were blessed with your time! Hope you’re enjoying the green pasture up their, love ya

Bon Bon💙- Sweet boy you would’ve been 17! You’re so talented and stunning! With your goofy habits and your big white legs we love you so much! You were one of Laura’s favorite horses as well as a fan favorite at Tammy’s ranch! We miss you and love you!

CJ💙- Oh sweet boy your 18 but still acting like a baby! We are so proud of you with all you’ve overcome from your surgery to tears you’re a true trooper! Despite all of the challenges you still manage to pull some basare moves and give us all a laugh! Hope you’re enjoying your big day!

Dreamy💕- Hitting 14 is a big milestone! We’ve watched you grow up and had the honor of having you in the barn for a bit! You’re such a sweet girl who makes the goofiest faces! To say you loved to show is an understatement you’ve taken so many beginners and taken the to a top 3! You’ve also been a great mom! We hope you’re enjoying the broodmare life!

Lou🧡- You also are a big 14! You’ve been such an angel throughout you’re life always giving laughs with your silly personality! From making sure to wear a mask during covid to playing dead out in pasture! With the canter the everyone yearned over, your favorite gait besides halt! Hope your enjoying pasture with your buddy Patrick!

Ciero💙- The fancy boy is 9! We hope you’re enjoying the pasture life! We miss ya greatly from your funny poses in the show ring to your tap dance around puddles! Hopefully we get to see ya sometime this summer! Stay chunky mister!

Tayo💜- Tater Tot would’ve been 26! You’ve been around the block from a fancy show horse to the perfect kids horse! You’ve been the babysitter for young horses or new ones! You’ve been a sweetheart with all people no matter what! We miss ya and hope you’re with your momma and dad in heaven all cleaned up doing your favorite thing showing!

Cinco💙- You’re 5! We’ve only known you a short time but boy does it fly! You’re such a looker from your stunning coloring to your luscious hair! You have such a good mind and are fun to ride/work with from your first show to your first trail ride with us you always try your hardest to make us proud!

Balitor💚- My sweet angel you would’ve been 24! You were so funny to have in the back yard! From acting all macho for a cookie to giving cuddles a second later. Though you didn’t show long you always turned heads whether standing or moving. We miss you more than you can imagine and are grateful you blessed us with your mini me CJ! Hope you’re now running around in the pasture and getting infinite b***y scratches!

Sadly on April 12, 2026 we lost one of our first horses. His name was Ali’s Spirit Aka Bobby. Bobby was born May 7, 1997, he was a big black TWH gelding. He was a natural lover, a kids favorite within the barn, and was one of Dana’s most trusted mounts. As he got older he was retired to Sunland then his final resting place was in Tujunga. If anyone has some nice photos of Bobby please we’d love you to put them in the comments please.

Another month has passed which means another birthday post! 🎉

Beside the 2 girls born on the first(previous post) here are your April birthdays 🎉

Peanut💜- She is the big 20 this year! To say we’ve known you 20 years is wild! Being the perfect angel we know taking many to their first blues and even championships! We love you so much and congrats on the big 2 0!

Scooter💙💛- He is 17 this year! It’s crazy how time flies when you’re having fun. You’ve been such a good boy taking your mom and friends to shows, the hills and perimeter! We love your goofy personality and your silly habits! Love you so much buddy!

Hennessy💙- Another big 20! This is insane if you know Henny he acts not a day over 3 with his hamster brain always on its wheel! To say we’ve watched you grow up, show, trail ride, and always be successful and suprise is an understatement. You’ve become such a rock in our family we couldn’t imagine you without us!

Ginger💖💜🤍- Princess Ginger is 26 this year! We just can’t believe how time has flown! You’re sweet personality with your happy energetic loving girl. You’ve taught little kids to adults! From how to brush to their first ride, show and canter! Giving them confidence and happiness with every step! Now you live your best days sunbathing, being groomed and on the occasion your mama sticking her little ones on you!

Blue💙- To say you were taken to soon is an understatement, you would’ve only been 22! It feels like just yesterday you were smiling at us from your stall and teaching kids how to ride. You always had this happiness that brightened the area when you came in. We hope you’re running in grass pastures and eating all the cookies everyday not just your birthday. Happy B-day!

Charlie💙- Mr. Charles your 8 this year! You are such a silly, pretty and talented boy who is always turning heads whether at home or in the show ring! We can’t believe you’ve been with us for over 3 years now! Hope you had the best B-day!

Corona💜- it’s crazy to think that our Covid baby is now 10! We remember the day you came and the hauler said you were one of the sweetest and most stunning horses he’d seen! You’ve been such an angel teaching others how to ride and going on trail rides! We are proud beyond words! Even now you’ve been a favorite for your sweet loving personality and firey passion in the show ring but always making sure everyone is safe and having fun!

Captain💙- You’re a big 8 now! To say you were one of the most rewarding horses always giving us you’re all is an understatement! You’ve been such a goofball from letting old Domino and little Oreo boss you around in the turn out to making silly faces for the little kids at home. You’ve always delivered and gave it your all when it counted and can’t wait to see what you achieve next!

Sunny💚- isn’t it crazy our Bunny Boy is 11! The spoiled prince has always been such a huge part of our lives! Always goofing off for us to laugh about and always turning heads in the show ring from his stunning gait to canter! Hopefully we get to see you in the show-ring this year!

Chicago💜- Our sweet girl is 18! Hopefully you’re enjoying life with your momma in Arizona! We love you so much back in Cali! You’ve been such a blessing with your special quirks and talented self. From your luscious mane and tail to your cool fancy gait! Your our little girl who loved trail riding especially Skyline! Sending our birthday love to you!

The National Walking Horse Association is forming a brand new Youth Council open to all NWHA members (age 8-17). We want YOU to help lead the way!

We are looking for motivated members (ages 10+) to fill the following roles:
🌟Youth Chairperson: Leads meetings and communicates with NWHA leadership
🌟Vice Chairperson: Supports the Chair and coordinates projects
🌟Secretary: Records minutes and manages attendance
🌟Event/Activities Coordinator: Plans youth contests and events
🌟Social Media/Communications Rep: Promotes engagement and activities

PWHA Spring Show March 29, 2026

We had a blast at the show!

Arrow and Braylee competed for the first time and they received 3 firsts and a second

Cristina and cinco competed for the for time and were rock stars with being hauled, tied to the trailer all day, leaving her friends, lots of people walking, and dogs etc.

Corona was her normal steady self at a gait with an opinion on halting 🙂 Patrick had grey ride electable considering he only gets to ride at the shows. Sarah was amazing and even though she has spent time on Corona previously now is only able to ride at the shows and some holidays. Dalton really started to show how much he loves riding!!!

Lyn organized an amazing BBQ that Chris cooked. Everyone brought sides and seemed to have a wonderful time.

Arrow enjoyed his personal tent to stay out of the sun.

Can’t wait until the next show!
