Featured Friday: Luna ✨

Luna had a portrait session with the amazing Shalimar Studios and with a face like this, there was really no question who needed to be our Featured Friday girl this week. 📸🐾

Luna just celebrated her first birthday, and this gorgeous Lab/Pit Bull/Husky mix, affectionately known as a Pitsky, is ready for the best birthday gift of all: a forever family. ❤️

Her story started when Luna, her siblings, and their mama were abandoned at a construction site. A kind stranger brought them to safety, and Rescue Street stepped in to help give them a second chance. Now, as her siblings begin finding their happily-ever-afters, Luna is still waiting for hers.

At just one year old, Luna is full of that classic Husky puppy energy. She’s playful, smart, enthusiastic, and ready for adventure. She’ll do best with a family that enjoys staying active and can give her a consistent routine, plenty of exercise, and lots of opportunities to keep that clever brain busy.

The best part? Luna is wonderful with kids and other animals, making her an amazing fit for an active household looking for a fun, affectionate companion.

Luna has spent her entire first year waiting for a family of her own.

Ginger the blind chow chow needs a new home. Unfortunately circumstances have changed for her caretaker and she’s needing a new place to call home. She is very well adapted to not having vision. She’s very loving and does best with a lead dog who understands her needs. She loves love and warm soft blankets. She’s about good energy and kindness. We think she’s about 5, fully vetted and does amazing for the groomer. Please consider bringing Ginger into your home. She needs us. 🥺

🏆🐾 TATER TOT TOOK 1ST PLACE! 🐾🏆
Our speedy little superstar Tater Tot came in FIRST PLACE at the Wiggles & Wags Fast & Furriest 1 Miler at Kiwanis Park! 🥇

Apparently “cute rescue dog” wasn’t enough, so Tater Tot decided to add race champion to the résumé too. 😂

We are so proud of this little athlete and loved seeing Tater Tot out there absolutely flying!

Way to go, Tater Tot! 🎉🐶💨

‼️ FOSTER or ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP‼️

Chiki Ba Ba is the cutest snuggle bug ever! At 25lbs she is big enough to jump up on the couch, drop her head in your lap and roll over for some beloved belly rubs. And she will stay there and soak up all the attention you have to give!

A few other amazing Chiki details-

As incredible as this all sounds, Chiki does have a small insecurity. She needs a slow intro to new friends, both human and canine. But given the proper time and space, she warms up to both.

🐾 Could You Be a Temporary Foster?🐾

Sometimes a dog just needs a safe place to land for a little while.

We’re working to build a list of people who would be willing to help with short-term fostering when a need comes up. That could mean a few days, a couple of weeks, or even a month or two. You choose your availability and your limits.There’s no expectation that you’ll be available every time we ask.

Having a dependable group of temporary fosters can make a huge difference, especially with the holidays coming up and more families traveling. We also occasionally have unexpected situations arise, such as household repairs, family emergencies, or other last-minute circumstances where a foster dog needs somewhere safe to stay.

You don’t have to be ready to foster today. We’d simply love to build a list of caring people we can reach out to when a need arises.

If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to help, but I can’t commit to fostering long-term,” this might be the perfect way to get involved. ❤️
