I’ve been thinking about this girl all day.

Brownie is sitting at the Yuma Shelter waiting for someone to give her a chance. Rescue Street would love to help her, but we need a foster or adopter lined up before we can bring her into rescue.

She was found as a stray, so we don’t know what her life looked like before this. What we do know is that she’s been incredibly sweet. While other dogs around her are barking and carrying on, Brownie has stayed calm and just seems happy to get a little attention and affection.

She’s the kind of dog that wants to be close to her people. Give her some pets, sit down next to her, and she’s content.

Honestly, she’s breaking our hearts.

She deserves a soft bed, a safe place to land, and someone who sees how special she is.

Squeaky arrived at Heidi’s Village this morning, and he is struggling badly in the kennel environment. Within minutes he began wall‑bounding, climbing, and panicking, and staff had to move him to a covered kennel for his safety.

Boarding is not a sustainable option for him — he is too stressed, too anxious, and too overwhelmed. He needs a foster home immediately.

Heidi’s Village staff shared that:

• He is showing high stress behaviors that will only escalate in a kennel
• His previous shelter history suggests he will deteriorate quickly
• He will be undergoing a full behavioral assessment, but he cannot stay in boarding long‑term
• Medication may help, but a home is what he truly needs

🚨 FOSTER NEEDED ASAP — SAM (11mo German Shepherd Mix)

Sam is losing his home through no fault of his own, and we’re urgently trying to give him a safe place to land before his owner moves cross‑country.

This sweet boy is neutered, fully vaccinated, house trained, and crate trained — and he has wonderful social skills:

• Dog friendly: Great with large and small dogs, loves to play, and has been submissive with every dog he’s met.
• Cat friendly: Lives with two cats. He mostly leaves them alone, and if he gets too nosy, he accepts their correction and backs off.
• Kid friendly: Has been around children and enjoys the extra attention and playtime.
