Pinnacle Veterinary Specialists is a veterinary emergency, critical care and specialty practice in Glen Mills, PA. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Pinnacle Veterinary Specialists is a veterinarian owned emergency and specialty hospital for dogs and cats. Our focus is on creating a medicine first, patient first culture that champions compassion, kindness, and a personalized experience for pets and their people. At Pinnacle, we will offer the highest level of care and compassion to our animal patients while striving to build inclusive and collaborative relationships with our human clients and referring veterinarians. On opening day (July 2021), we will have a team of doctors and technicians specializing in surgery, internal medicine, neurology, diagnostic imaging, cardiology and 24/7 emergency and critical care.

Vet Tech Week got a little sweeter thanks to our emergency doctor, Sophie, who treated our team to a coffee and matcha bar! 🥹 From caffeine to matcha magic, it was the perfect way to show a little extra love to the incredible technicians who keep our ER running. We’re so grateful to have a team that takes care of each other just as much as they take care of our patients! 🐾💚

Veterinary technicians are so much more than the title they carry. They are the critical thinkers, the reassuring voices, and the advocates behind every patient in our care. They recognize the subtle changes that can mean the difference between life and death, think quickly under pressure, anticipate a doctor’s next move, perform advanced diagnostics, monitor anesthesia, assist in life-saving procedures, and fight for patients who can’t tell us what’s wrong.

They balance multiple critical patients, adapt to the unexpected, and keep going even when the emotional weight of the job feels overwhelming. They celebrate the victories, carry the heartbreak, and show up day after day with the same compassion and commitment.

So much of what veterinary technicians do happens behind the scenes, but their impact is felt in every life they touch. Their knowledge, resilience, compassion, and dedication make an immeasurable difference in the lives of our patients and the families who trust us with them. They deserve to be recognized not just this week, but every single day.

⭐️ We had a celebrity stop by PVS today! 🐾❤️

Resilient Rocky stopped by to visit the nurses and doctors who helped give him a second chance at life after he was found critically ill inside a trash bag in Philadelphia.

His incredible recovery story has touched so many hearts, and getting to see him thriving was such a special, full circle moment for our team. 🥹❤️

We love you, Rocky! Keep thriving, sweet boy! 🐶💙

Our very own Brynn has been an ER nurse with us for years, and recently made the exciting decision to join our Internal Medicine team to broaden her knowledge, learn new skills, and continue growing as a veterinary nurse. 💙

✨ Welcome to Pinnacle Veterinary Specialists, Dr. Elizabeth “Lizzy” Snyder! ✨

Dr. Snyder joins our Internal Medicine team after earning her veterinary degree from PennVet, completing a small animal rotating internship, working as an emergency veterinarian in Philadelphia, and returning to PennVet for her Small Animal Internal Medicine residency.

Her special interests include feline medicine, nutrition, and kidney disease. 🐱

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Snyder enjoys hot yoga, skiing, and spending time with her partner and their cats.

We’re thrilled to have Dr. Snyder join the Pinnacle family and can’t wait for you all to get to know her! 💙

Our Neurology team provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of neurologic disorders, including:

🦴 Intervertebral disc disease
🩻 Spinal cord injuries
🌀 Vestibular disease
💪 Neuromuscular disorders

What you’ll do:
As a Veterinary Neurology Nurse, you’ll work closely with our neurologists to provide exceptional nursing care throughout every stage of a patient’s journey from initial evaluation to treatment and recovery.

Today, we remember 9/11 & the four-legged heroes who answered the call. 🇺🇸🐾

On September 11, 2001, more than 300 specially trained dogs joined the search, rescue, & recovery efforts at Ground Zero. These K-9 responders searched through unimaginable conditions locating survivors, recovering the remains of victims, & offering comfort to the people working through the devastation.

Behind these incredible working dogs were veterinary professionals who stepped forward to care for them. In the weeks following the attacks, hundreds of veterinarians and veterinary technicians volunteered their time & expertise, treating more than 600 rescue dogs at Ground Zero. They provided essential medical care while these animals worked long hours in a dangerous, debris-filled environment.

It is a powerful reminder that veterinary medicine is about more than treating animals. It is about supporting the animals who serve, protect, comfort, & stand beside us when we need them most.

Today, we remember the lives lost, honor the first responders & their canine partners, & recognize the veterinary professionals who cared for the four-legged heroes.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸🐾
