❤️ There's a version of me that the world rarely sees...
where my heart feels lighter and my mind finds peace...
where the weight on my shoulders begins to fall away...
and the worries I've carried don't feel quite so heavy that day.

I'm quieter there, with the horses and hay...
where the noise of the world slowly fades away...
I don't need answers, I don't need to explain...
why some days are sunshine and others are rain.

I find comfort in horse breathe, in warm, gentle eyes...
in the smell of the leather and wide open skies...
in the soft, steady presence of a horse standing near...
who asks for no reasons and doesn't judge tears.

Out there, I can breathe... I can finally let go...
of the things I've been carrying that nobody knows...
I can laugh a little louder or cry if I must... with my boots in the dirt and hay in my hair.

The world says be strong every day...
that I keep it together, whatever comes my way...
but the barn never asks me to be more than I am...
and there's something so healing in knowing I can.

For a little while, I'm not everything to everyone else...
I'm simply a woman finding my way back to myself...
not fixing, not rushing, not trying to be strong...
just standing in the place where I've belonged all along.

And when it's time to leave, and I walk through that door...
I carry a little less weight than before...
my troubles are waiting, and the world hasn't changed...
but somehow my heart feels better arranged.

There's a version of me that only exists at the barn...
where the world can't quite reach me or do quite as much harm...
and I swear that my horses, in their own quiet way...
know exactly which pieces of me need saving that day. ❤️

We may enter a training session believing we are teaching the horse to load, stand at the mounting block, move away from pressure or respond to a particular cue. But running underneath that lesson is another lesson, and it may shape the horse far more deeply than the exercise itself.

The horse is learning what happens when he does not understand us immediately. He is learning whether we pause and make the question clearer, or whether the pressure simply grows. He is learning what our body does when he hesitates, how our hands change when we become frustrated, and whether getting the answer wrong makes the situation harder for him.

Over time, these moments teach the horse whether it is safe to think, explore and offer an answer.

A horse who expects to be corrected for trying the wrong thing may eventually stop trying freely. He may become tense, rush through the movement, guess anxiously or wait to be told exactly where to place every part of himself. We may call this obedience, but underneath it may be a horse who has learned that initiative carries too much risk.

Another horse may remain curious because confusion has never meant punishment. When he gets lost, the human notices, softens the question and gives him enough time to find his way. When too much pressure has been used, there is repair. When fear enters the lesson, it is acknowledged instead of treated as defiance.

This does not mean never correcting a horse, never setting a boundary or expecting nothing from him. It means recognising that the way we guide him through difficulty becomes part of his education.

Every time the horse is unsure, we are teaching him something about us. Every mistake answers an unspoken question:

Am I still safe with you when I do not get it right?

The exercise may be forgotten. But the feeling surrounding it becomes part of what the horse carries into the next session, the next request and, sometimes, the rest of his life.

I currently have the June 8 dental sheet in my possession. I'm re-doing it and will transfer everyone over who is already on it. Since Doc cannot give us a separate day for regular visits, she is allowing me to add 3 slots onto the dental day that will be for other needs besides dental. I will try to have the new sheet back out to the barn this weekend. Thanks
