Sometimes our dogs just need a little extra time to process!

👃 Pause on your walk — do they want another moment to sniff or are they ready to move on?
🧩 Set out two enrichment activities — which one do they investigate first?
🛏️ Offer two resting spots — let them decide where to settle.
❤️ Pause during petting — do they move closer for more or choose some space?

Did you know dog greetings don’t have to be long to be successful?

Try the 3-Second Rule:
🐶 Sniff
🐶 Count to 3
🐶 Cheerfully move apart!

Then watch their body language. If both dogs are relaxed and choose to reconnect, another short hello may be just fine. 💙

Short greetings can help keep things comfortable and prevent excitement from becoming too much.
