Miss Willa is Happy Happy this Friday morning.
She is improving and gaining trust. Her wounds are healing nicely.
She and her pasture mate, Sandy Brown, are getting along without any problems.

Miss Willa is settling in. She is gaining some trust and not getting so nervous with us in her stall or applying medication to her wounds.
She has a good appetite and looks forward to each meal. And does not mind a treat or two.
Thank you so much for your prayers for her and your support. Together we are going to give her the best life she can have.

We picked up this beautiful mare yesterday. She was picked up by Animal Control in a county south of us. She has been cared for at a local Vet there. She is now with us to continue her physical and mental rehab She is approximately 5 years old. Her start in life has been rough.
Please keep her in your prayers. She is very scared right now.
If you would like to donate towards her care, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

In the Rescue world, we call it the last act of kindness.
It does not make it any easier to say goodbye to one of your friends.

Rescue was our mascot and a great companion to many other rescued horses.
He was a true volunteer as he went with us to many off facility sites to greet and educate others about horse care. He also was very patient and gentle, and allowed those with special needs to get up close and personal with him.
He will be greatly missed.
