Kodiak and Polar’s Grooming Adventure
Kodiak and Polar showed up for their grooming appointment with Groomer Christy. Kodiak was a little grumpy because his appointment had been delayed a couple of days. He marched into the shop with a serious look on his face while Polar, the older and wiser dog, just wagged his tail and followed along.
Before they left home, their mom gave them one important job. She looked at Kodiak and said, “I’m putting you in charge today. You and Polar can do anything you want for your spa day… except no hair dye and no painted toenails! But you can change things up and have some fun.”
Kodiak puffed out his chest proudly. “Don’t worry, Mom. I’ve got this!”
As soon as they got to the grooming salon, Kodiak started making all the decisions. “We’ll have the blueberry facial. We’ll get extra fluffy baths. We’ll have our coats trimmed just right, and maybe a fancy bandana when we’re done!”
Polar tilted his head and looked at his younger brother. “Are you sure you’re in charge? I’m the older one, you know.”
Kodiak smiled and replied, “Mom picked me! Besides, you always let me choose the adventures.”
After their baths, the warm dryers, the brushing, and all the pampering, the two boys looked amazing. Their coats were soft and shiny, their ears were clean, and they both had matching bandanas around their necks.
As they left the salon, Polar looked over at Kodiak and laughed. “You know, little brother… for a dog who was upset about waiting a couple of days, you did a pretty good job being in charge.”
Kodiak held his head high and proudly answered, “I told you. Mom picked the right dog for the job!”
And with wagging tails and fresh haircuts, the two best friends headed home, already planning their next adventure. 🐾✂️🛁
