This week we’re sharing the story of Oliver, a sweet cat who recently went through a very serious medical emergency. Oliver developed a urinary blockage that caused painful swelling and required urgent veterinary care. His veterinary team acted quickly to flush his bladder and stabilize him.

While Oliver is feeling some relief, he will still need surgery to address bladder stones and prevent the blockage from happening again.

Oliver’s family has been navigating a tough season. After being out of work, they recently began babysitting to rebuild income and stability. When Oliver’s emergency happened, the sudden veterinary care felt overwhelming.

Thanks to the kindness of this paw-some community and the dedication of the veterinary team, support was available to help Oliver receive the urgent treatment he needed. Stories like Oliver’s show the powerful impact of an ulti-mutt community that steps up when pets and their families need it most.

💡 Pet Health Tip:
Urinary blockages in cats are a medical emergency. Signs can include repeated trips to the litter box, straining, crying, or little to no urine being produced. If you notice these symptoms, seek veterinary care immediately—quick treatment can save a life.

Oliver still has some healing ahead, but thanks to compassionate care and community support, his future is looking paw-sitively brighter. 🐱💙
