Edit 09-02-26 ‼️ This Little has a new HOME!!!!🏡

🧡She is going to a young lady that has another pigeon!

Something that doesn’t happen too often. A Little needs a home!
Where are my bird lovers?!?
This is a very young, pigeon that needs a permanent home!🏠 I’m fairly sure this is female.
‼️this is not a wild bird‼️

Some of y’all may remember, there were a lot of pigeons intentionally let loose in Campbell County in the summer of 2024.
This baby is definitely a descendant. I had another last year. Same type of markings and he was IDd by quite a few people that breed and race pigeons.

This Little is set up in my nursery, decompressing and resting.
If you’re interested please get with me. A home check is absolutely required!!!
‼️No exceptions‼️
I am unable to keep a bird, because I don’t have enough room, and I have raccoons. She deserves a bird loving human 🧡

Most of the 2026 Littles are nearing release. This year brought a huge shift from rabbits and squirrels, to an overwhelming number of raccoons. Every Little that comes through my home is loved. I try to do the absolute best I can to raise them to be able to live wild and free.
Squirrels, hares, cottontails, raccoons, 13 lined ground squirrels, chipmunks, and turtles have passed through this year. Not everyone has made it though. Those lost lives always wear heavy, and I carry them with me.
I want to very loudly thank, my largest supporter, Wyoming Sportsman's Group!!!!!! They helped me purchase a LOT of needed food and supplies! I have to be at ready from April until September and they took a huge burden off of me this year! Their generosity allowed me to buy a very large enclosure for the animals!!! Their support means the absolute world to me!! Working together, we can educate people about the amazing animals and nature that Wyoming has! I’m excited and looking forward to what teaching opportunities lie ahead for me, working with them! Every animal in our amazing state has a very specific role in our diverse ecosystem!

Coming back the other night from Casper, traffic was behind me, and I was warning for animals. We were all down to 40mph. Please slow down and watch for animals! They are suffering in the drought too.

Due to drought conditions around the state, Wyoming Game and Fish Department biologists are reporting a surge in big game animals clustering along highways and rights-of-way, driven by a search for food and water.

When the prairie and mountain forage browns out, the asphalt infrastructure of Wyoming roadways creates an unintended oasis. Roadsides and borrow pits are engineered to drain water away from highways, making them hold onto critical moisture much longer than the surrounding arid landscape.

How motorists can help:
🚧Slow down and scan: Lower your speeds, particularly when traveling through rural or open-range country. Actively scan the green ditches or area between the roadway and the right-of-way fence where animals are often actively feeding.
🦌🦌Expect a crowd: If you see one pronghorn or deer cross the road, immediately slow down, and assume there are several more to follow.
🌅Use caution during dusk and dawn: Big game animals are most active during the cooler hours of early morning and late evening. Drive with increased awareness during these low-visibility windows.
