Ive got a new board and train puppy this week! Everyone meet Reggi. He is 15 weeks old and eager to learn! We were very busy today on his first day with me. We went for a long walk, went to harbor freight to work on some leash skills and greetings, he met and played with Meadow, and he met my 2 kids, and he settled into the house. We then had a nice relaxing evening with some enrichment toys. He is wiped! And so am I, but a fulfilled puppy makes me so happy!!

Anyone want to guess his breed?! Edit to post: he is not a doodle!

Way to go Maybel! I will never stop being in awe of a dogs ability ❤️

Last night, May 7th at approximately 2300 hours, the Ashland Police Department requested Officer Grier and K9 Maybel to locate a 14 year old female. It was reported that that the juvenile had met up with a 20 year old male and last messaged that she did not feel safe. After a 4.1 mile track which started at an Ashland playground, Maybel located the missing juvenile at an apartment. The male was taken into custody by the Ashland Police Department.

New Class Alert!! 🚨

Shy to Fly

This unique class is designed for shy, sensitive, or hesitant dogs using shaping and free work—no forcing, and no overwhelming. In Shy to Fly, dogs are empowered to explore, make choices, and build confidence at their own pace in a thoughtfully structured environment.

Through guided free work, enrichment setups, and confidence-building pattern games, dogs learn that engaging with new surfaces, obstacles, and challenges is safe—and rewarding. We’ll introduce clear marker communication, develop a strong reward system and use games to create predictability and security.

As the weeks progress, we gently build toward more intentional interactions, including voluntary engagement and beginner approach work, always prioritizing the dog’s comfort and choice.

Perfect for nervous, unsure, or easily overwhelmed dogs, Shy to Fly helps them grow into more curious, resilient, and confident companions—one brave choice at a time.

* This class is currently only for dogs that are friendly and non reactive towards other dogs and humans. Contact us if you are unsure if it is a good fit.

Class will be held 5pm Fridays June 5th-26th. Registration is available here: https://doggonitnh.com/register-and-pay/?product_id=7128

Im back from Scotland!! And Ive had a lot of people asking to see photos. So here are some highlights of the trip. If youre ever planning on visiting Scotland, I highly suggest this time of year. End of April seems to be the sweet spot. We had zero rain, every day was sunny and beautiful! We visited 9 castles in total, and even stayed the night in one. What a cool experience! And what a beautiful place for my girls to have memories of. Thanks Scotland!! ❤️

One of my favorite things about international travel is seeing what breed of dogs are most popular in that country. Scotland has been a lot of spaniel, border collies, and corgis (with tails)! Oh and lots of Westies too! 😍

Guys, Im in Scotland and you have to see the cutest collars I found at the Tron Kirk Market, which features local artists. These collars are hand made with Harris Tweed. You better believe I bought a few for Meadow!! My carry on luggage is getting heavier!

About Harris Tweed:
Harris Tweed, or Clo Mor (The Big Cloth) is the only fabric in the world governed by its own Act of Parliament.

From start to finish the cloth is in the hands of skilled and experienced artisans who oversee every stage of production utilising generations of knowledge to produce a product worthy of the name Harris Tweed.

Furthermore a 1993 Act of Parliament underpins the unique status of Harris Tweed and decrees that genuine Harris Tweed must be made from pure virgin wool which has been dyed and spun on the islands and handwoven at the home of the weaver in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.

So cool!! Meadow is going to be so stylish!

A special visit today with Winni at Belknap County Nursing Home for one of her periodic therapy dog evaluations. Winni has been doing therapy work for several years now. We prefer to re-evaluate therapy dogs every couple of years to make sure they’re still truly enjoying the work, staying comfortable in the environment, and continuing to show the calm, steady behavior we want from dogs in these important roles.

Today she did beautifully — and earned herself a well-deserved ice cream at their Christmas party (Yes… Christmas in April. April Fools! 😄)

If you’ve ever wondered whether your dog might have the temperament for therapy work, feel free to reach out!
