Whether the goal is to get your young horse into the show ring or to get your young rider onto a pony, we can help. Competing at all levels of the hunter and jumper cicuits, we are happy to help you find your niche, even if it isn't in the show ring. Our programs include lesson programs, afterschool horsemanship programs, horsemanship classes (run at differant times throughout the year) leases and sales. Give us a call, we're sure to have something to fit your schedule. Our facilities include a 26 stall barn with 12x12 horse stalls and 11x12 pony stalls. All stalls have rubber mats, are bedded in straw, and cleaned daily. All the horses are supervised 24 hours a day. We have a small indoor and a large sand outdoor ring plus a number of cross country fences throughout the property. In addition, our proerty links to township property making trail riding easy and asscessible.

We are late posting it because I didn't get a picture earlier, but our September student of the month is Rebecca!!!
Rebecca is an inspiration to all of our re-riding adults. Her hard work, dedication and perseverance are evident in every visit to the barn.
She's put the work in over the past year to be able to ride her daughter's young pony safely and correctly and has even reached her goal of horse showing, not just once but twice this past month as well as doing her first derby!!!
We couldn't be more proud of Rebecca!!

Thank you to Evan from LVL Equestrian for spending the morning with eight of our riders in a mini clinic. It's a great thing to get a fresh set of eyes on our riders, horses and ponies. We look forward to your help!

We're so happy to see success. No matter the goal, the foundation is everything!

Derby Day at Fair Hill was a little wet but a lot of fun! It was a great way to wrap up our weekend. It was a great day to give something new a try and I think these riders might be looking for more derbies.
Congratulations to all of our riders on a great weekend.
Gigi moved into mini stirrup and took the championship in that division.
Elise and Kinsley also took home some great ribbons and had really nice rides in that division.
Evie and Buck swept short stirrup with two beautiful courses ridden, and Buck was awarded "high point horse of the day" for Saturday!
Ayden and Rebecca did great in the walk trot Hunter division with Rebecca taking the reserve!
Lilly Bright home great ribbons from her trips in the cross rail hunters and Hannah and Diego did both beginner eq (reserve) and modified hunters and officially won her first blue ribbons, ever!
Derby Day had Hannah, Evie, Rebecca, Kinsley and Ayden in the cross rail derby and they placed
Hannah-2nd
Kinsley-3rd
Ayden-4th
Rebecca-5th
And Eleana joined Lily for the 2' Derby
And they placed
Eleana-2nd
Lilly-4th

And everyone loved their victory gallops!

Such a fun weekend. Thank you parents, thank you North Star Farm thank you kids, thank you ponies and a big thank you to the folks at the farm who made it easy for us to go!

Day 1 North Star Farm horse show at Fair Hill in the books.
Such a fun day and well organized show!
Our riders did a great job and had a great time. The day finished with some of the parents stealing the kids horses and going for a nice hack.

,We finished the Buxmont Riding Club horse show series yesterday with lots of smiles, some goals achieved and some very good lessons learned.
First, thank you so much to the volunteers that make the show happen. We are so grateful to have a lovely venue, a nurturing environment, recognized judges and patient volunteers to help us learn as we grow. ❤️
Second, thank you to our awesome barn family who made each show a picnic with food and drinks to make others question whether they needed tickets to join us😏 and who were so great at keeping the troops where they needed to be at the right time, and mostly clean and organized for each show.
Third, congratulations to our riders for a great day and a great season. We are very proud of how each of you has grown and challenged yourselves this summer!
Here are a few pictures, thanks to Heather, cause mine were limited and questionable🙃
On to the fall shows, people!!!

Today we went to the Over the Hill Horse Show with two of our lovely adult riders who have been working SOOO hard to get to show! They began working toward this goal almost one year ago and have been committed to it. This morning the smiles as well as the ribbons, made it worth it!
Congratulations to Nicole Weikel and Ivy (owned by Megan Vandenbrink) for their championship in the beginner eq division and to Rebecca Wintz Geiser and her pony Lucy, for reserve championship in the same division, as well as being recognized with the "happy rider" award!!
We're so proud of our adults and all the work they do!
I'm pretty sure this won't be the last time we see them in their show clothes!

We're very excited to announce that, as of October 1, 2026, we are welcoming Evan Valdivieso Hephner back as our full time, in house trainer!

For those of you who know how proud we are to be a family run business, it's easy to understand what having him with us fill time means to us.

After taking the past few years off to work on his personal horse, a few private clients as well as some outside projects, he is looking forward to bringing his experience, knowledge and training to existing and new clients.
Utilizing his start in equitation, his lifetime of experience with hunters and extensive time in the jumper ring, he is well versed and capable with starting, re-starting and finishing your horse.

He prides himself in his ability to instill confidence and trust in the youngsters he brings along.

Whether you need your baby started and backed for pleasure, showing or even racing; or you need your off the track thoroughbred or standardbred to learn their new job, Evan can help!

We will have two stalls available for training horses as of October 1.
Please feel free to reach out for information or Evan's contact information and watch for his business page to follow him and the horses he's working with!

It's September!!! That means I can proudly share our August student of the month, Hannah!!!

Hannah has been with us since she was a little tiny person just learning to pick out feet and had grown into such a helpful, positive horsewoman. We have loved watching her growth.
Hannah is always ready to help with a smile on her face. She's willing to help with turn out, grooming, bathing, tacking up the little ones and just fixing any problems she's in which able to assist.

Being a teenager in this sport can be a tough balance of school, clubs (she's an FFA officer), band and the barn but she is managing it and we are so happy to have her!
