Just a little reminder that our Fall Sips & Scents Gathering is THIS SUNDAY, October 25th, from 1–3 PM at Happy Dog! ❤️

🐾❤️ SOMETIMES, ALL A DOG NEEDS IS SOMEONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM. ❤️🐾

Meet Toivo. When he first came to us, he had energy to spare, struggled with loose-leash walking, barked because he didn’t know what to do with all that energy, and honestly seemed like a lost boy trying to figure out his place in the world.

But here’s the thing about dogs… sometimes what looks like a handful is really just a dog who hasn’t found the right direction yet. ❤️

Toivo didn’t need someone to give up on him. He needed patience, consistency, guidance, and someone willing to figure out how to reach him.

And once that connection happened? WOW. 🐶

He started finding his focus. He discovered that training could be fun. He wanted to work, wanted to learn, and wanted to please. You could see him starting to understand what was being asked of him, and watching that confidence grow has been incredible.

Kerry has done a phenomenal job with this boy, and the amazing part? This video shows Toivo just ONE WEEK into his two-week Board & Train program! He’s already making tremendous progress, and we couldn’t be prouder of him.

This is why we do what we do at Happy Dog. It’s not about breaking a dog’s spirit or expecting perfection. It’s about building a relationship, understanding the dog in front of you, and helping him discover just how good he can be.

Sometimes the dog everyone thinks is a handful just needs someone to show him the way. 🐾❤️

And Toivo? He’s proving that in the most beautiful way.

❤️🐾 From finding his confidence to finding his way home… Forrest’s journey has been something special.

Forrest came to Happy Dog for our basic obedience board-and-train program and continued into advanced training. He was a more challenging case, but sometimes the dogs who need us the most are the ones who make the biggest impression on our hearts. ❤️

Having been rescued and experienced multiple homes, Forrest needed more than obedience training. He needed patience, encouragement, praise, and the chance to learn that he could trust himself and the people around him. We worked hard to build his confidence and help him learn how to channel all that wonderful energy into something positive.

Along the way, we worked on house manners, too, because good training isn’t just about following commands. It’s about helping dogs become confident, well-mannered members of their families.

And now? This boy is ready to go home! 🏡 We can just picture him settling in beside his family’s fireplace, enjoying the comfort and security he deserves.

We are SO proud of Forrest and everything he has accomplished. We know his family is going to be thrilled with the progress he has made. We sure are going to miss this boy, but there is nothing better than watching a dog leave us with more confidence, more skills, and a brighter future ahead. ❤️🐶

Way to go, Forrest! You’ve earned that spot by the fireplace! 🔥🐾

🐾 Curious Everest is moving on up! 🐺❤️

This young Husky girl has ENERGY to spare, but look at how well she’s doing! 😍 Everest has officially completed her two-week Basic Training program and is now moving on to Advanced Training!

Watching these young dogs learn, build confidence, and discover just how much they can accomplish is one of the best parts of what we do at Happy Dog. Every dog learns at their own pace, and Everest is showing us just how much potential she has! 🐾👏
