These two pups are at Pima Animal care in tucson waiting for their forever homes. If you meet the qualifications they set forth, please go meet them and bring them home! they can be adopted directly from their shelter.
Meet King & Princess — two young dogs whose lives were turned upside down through no fault of their own.
Their owner asked a neighbor to watch them temporarily while he showed his home for sale… but he never came back. Calls and messages went unanswered, and these two sweet dogs were left behind.
Thankfully, their compassionate neighbor stepped up to care for them until they could safely come to PACC. We may never understand how someone could walk away from such wonderful dogs, but we do know they deserve a second chance at real forever homes.
KING – A900423
• 1-year-old male Rottweiler mix
• Approximately 82 lbs.
• Indoor-only companion dog
• Housebroken & kennel trained
• Friendly, affectionate, playful, and eager to please
King is truly a giant teddy bear. His finder describes him as incredibly loyal, gentle, and happiest right beside his person. He reportedly walks beautifully off leash, stays close, checks in constantly, and ignores barking dogs around him. He has lived peacefully around teenagers, cats, a small dog, and even parrots. He loves adventures, camping trips, car rides, early morning walks, and being part of the family.
King also has the cutest quirks — he prefers showers over hoses, loves having his teeth brushed, enjoys staying clean, and apparently his favorite toy color is purple.
At the shelter, staff noted he is energetic, loves human attention, and allowed handling during intake.
Ideal home:
Someone looking for a loyal sidekick, adventure buddy, cuddle companion, and true indoor family member.
PRINCESS – A900425
• 1-year-old female Rottweiler mix
• Approximately 80 lbs.
• Energetic, athletic, and full of personality
Princess is King’s complete opposite in the funniest way possible — bouncy, energetic, and always ready to move! Her finder says she “jumps like she’s on a trampoline,” and shelter staff described her as high-energy, affectionate with handlers, and eager for attention.
Princess would thrive with structure and an active lifestyle. She may do best as the only pet in the home or in a home experienced with managing strong, energetic dogs. She could also make an excellent companion for someone with property or a business yard where she can safely burn off energy and stay engaged.
Both dogs are young, social with people, and adjusting to shelter life after losing the only home they knew. Despite being abandoned, they remain loving, hopeful, and ready to bond deeply with someone new.
Please help us find the happy endings these two deserve.
