Rotten Rottie Rescue

🚨Another Emergency! We need a foster for Charolette in the Phoenix Area by 10/26!

Well this wasn’t a great way to end the day. I just opened up Facebook to make a foster search post for a scared Rottie named Charolette because I was worried Maricopa County animal care control was going to put her on their euthanasia list. Unfortunately, the second I open FB, the first post I see is a networking post about her. MCACC has put her on their euthanasia list. 💔 We have until October 26 to find a foster home for her and save her life.

We don’t know much about Charlotte. We know she was found as a stray, but we don’t know much else. All I can tell you is that she is scared at the shelter and she doesn’t deserve to die. You can read everything we know about Charolette, I included the link to her shelter notes below.

We are in Gilbert, AZ so we need a foster in the Phoenix metro area. We will also need Charolette’s fosters help bringing her to Gilbert to the rescue for meet and greets with potential fosters and to our vet in Gilbert for any vet appt’s she might have.

We will support you every step of the way. We cover all costs associated with Charolette- food, bedding, kennel, toys, vet care, training, and anything else she may need.

If you are interested in fostering Charolette, please complete our foster questionnaire www.rottenrottie.com. I have also included a direct link to it below.

📣 It’s been a busy few days! MCACC had 2 Rottweilers on their euthanasia list. This had us racing against their deadline and the odds to find 2 foster homes in 2 days. Thankfully we did it! We were able to rescue BOTH! 💕🎉

Yesterday we picked up the gorgeous Zeke from MCACC and today we picked up sweet Gino!

🐾Zeke went right to his foster home where he caught up on some much needed sleep. We can’t thank his fosters Nelly & James for taking in Zeke! They have fostered so many of our Rottie’s over the years that I’ve lost count! They have helped us save so many lives and their commitment to fostering makes all of this possible. We are forever grateful for you Nelly & James! You are AMAZING!!

🐾 This morning we drove back out to MCACC and picked up Sweet Gino! We drove him straight to our vet Dr. Carr. He was a good boy at the vet and we are waiting on some test results. After the vet, Gino was off to his new foster home with Charlotte Steele! The best part is that Charlotte is a dog trainer! She will help Gino get over his need to mount people when he gets overstimulated. Thank you so much Charlotte, we are so relieved that you offered to foster and train Gino. We know that sweet Gino will do amazing with your direction!

We are so excited for what Zeke & Gino’s future holds!

📍Zeke and Gino are available for adoption to Arizona residents.

If you are interest in adopting Gino or Zeke, please go to our website (www.rottenrottie.com) and complete our adoption application. Link Below ⬇️

Update: Foster Found!! thank you Charlotte Steele, a local dog trainer for “That dog Trainer” in Mesa has Stepped up to care for Gino and he has been
Pulled off the e-list and we will pick him up tomorrow. Charlotte thank you for being a Rottie hero!!

🚨 URGENT: FOSTER NEEDED IMMEDIATELY! TODAY!! 🚨🆘
GINO WILL DIE TOMORROW MORNING WITHOUT YOU! 💔
📍 Phoenix, Arizona Metro Area — We need you! Gino needs you!
This video of Gino is from 10 AM today. He is improving, but we are down to the final hour to find a foster in the Phoenix area to save his life! His time is up at the shelter, and we have to let them know by tonight. If we don’t find a foster today, he will be euthanized in the morning! 😔
We currently have ZERO foster applications for him. Can you be his hero?
🩺 Medical & Care Needs:
* URI Recovery: Gino is getting over a kennel cough/URI. Symptoms are subsiding, but he must be kept separated from other pets until completely symptom-free.
* Nose Bleeding Diagnostics: He needs to see our vet in Gilbert ASAP to figure out why his nose was bleeding (could be nasal polyps, autoimmune, etc.). He did amazing getting fluids today and just wanted pets!
* Dog-Friendliness Unknown: Must be separated from family pets initially. Once healthy, our team will help facilitate safe intros.
* People-Friendly & Sweet: He loves people and attention! He has a history of mounting from overstimulation when healthy, but our team will walk you through exact management strategies.
* Commitment: Must be willing to keep him safely separated if he doesn’t mesh with your resident dogs post-recovery while we find a replacement foster.
Our rescue is completely full and we have nowhere else to place him. Opening your home to Gino will literally save his life today. 🐾

UPDATE!! WE FOUND A FOSTER AND WILL BE PICKING GINO UP TOMORROW!

URGENT: FOSTER NEEDED IMMEDIATELY! TODAY!!

GINO WILL DIE TOMORROW MORNING WITHOUT YOU! 🚨🆘

📍Phoenix, Arizona! We need you! Gino needs you! 💔

This video of Gino is from 10 AM today. He is doing better, so the amazing news is that he is improving! Unfortunately, we are down to the final hour to find a Foster in the Phoenix so we can save his life!

Gino’s time is up at the shelter! We have to let the Shelter know by tonight if we are able to rescue him. If don’t find a Foster today, the Shelter will euthanize him in the morning!

😔What makes it even worse is that we have received ZERO foster applications for him.

We are located in Gilbert, Arizona, and our vet is in Gilbert as well. For this reason, his foster home must be in the Phoenix Metro area.

Important Details About Gino & His Foster Needs:

🩺 Upper Respiratory Infection (URI): Gino is currently sick with kennel cough, but thankfully, his symptoms are subsiding! He is getting better !

However, he will still need to be kept separated from animals in the home until he is completely symptom-free.

🏥 Needs Immediate Veterinary Care: There was no blood found in his kennel today; however, we still need to figure out why his nose has been bleeding, which could stem from anything like nasal polyps to an autoimmune condition. The vet staff was able to give him fluids this morning and he did great. All he wanted was pets while he was getting fluids! He still needs to see our vet ASAP in Gilbert for diagnostic testing.

🐶 Dog-Friendliness Unknown: We do not know how Gino does with other dogs. He must be kept separated from any family pets until he is symptom-free. Once he is healthy, our team will help facilitate a proper, safe introduction.

❤️ Extremely People-Friendly: Gino absolutely loves people, pets, and attention! Prior to feeling sick, he would mount his handler, which appears to stem from overstimulation. While he hasn't attempted this since becoming unwell, our team will walk you through exact management strategies. This behavior cannot be allowed and we need to get it stopped.

🤝 Commitment Required: If Gino ultimately does not get along with your personal dogs after recovery, you must be willing to keep him safely separated while we search for another foster home. Finding a replacement foster can take time, so we need a committed caregiver.

Gino’s past has clearly been filled with neglect, but he deserves a real chance at a happy, healthy life. Our rescue is completely full, and we have nowhere else to place him. Opening your home to Gino will literally save his life today.

From the streets of Casa Grande to the top of Mummy Mountain, Storm has made his life way better now that he has been adopted by Cindy and John Lamb and family. They met a few days ago and fell in love. I offered to take Storm to his new home so that I could introduce him to their cat and make sure everything was cool, but when we arrived at his new home the cat was hiding and nowhere to be found. I think that there is a good chance that Storm may never even know that he lives with a cat, because his house is so enormous! This is the 2nd dog that the Lambs have adopted from us. They recently lost their first one to old age and were wanting to fill a void in their life. Once Storm settles in, I’m sure he will be every bit the dog that they have been dreaming of. I’m so happy for him. Thank you to his foster parents Nelly and James for caring for him and working in his training. Now that he has found a home, they can take Zeke in from the euthanasia list and save his life too!!
