The Gilbert Police Department continues to investigate the murder of 19-year-old Rachel Hansen, whose life was taken on June 4, 2022. We are sharing an important update in the ongoing investigation, as the reward for information leading to an arrest has been increased to $25,000.
Rachel and her family deserve justice. Critical information may still be unreported. Even details that appeared minor or insignificant at the time could prove essential in identifying those responsible for Rachel’s death and ensuring they are held accountable.
Case Summary: On Saturday, June 4, 2022, just after 2:00 AM, Rachel Hansen called 911 and reported someone had entered her apartment located near San Tan Village Parkway and Coronado Road while she was sleeping and shot her. Rachel was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
