Lucy is always hunting for a good time, she found one in Mesa. In fact, poodles were bred for hunting.

The name “poodle” comes from the German word pudel (meaning “to splash in water”). Their curly, water-resistant coat helped protect them in cold water while retrieving ducks and other waterfowl. The traditional “poodle cut” wasn’t for fashion at first — hunters trimmed certain areas short to reduce drag in the water, while leaving tufts around the chest and joints for warmth and protection.
