Just a heads-up that our clinic will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. We will return to normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

If your pet needs any medications, prescription food, or other supplies, please be sure to plan ahead! 🐶🐱

☀️🔥 EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING: Keep Your Pets Safe! 🔥☀️

With dangerously high temperatures in the forecast, please take extra precautions to protect your pets from heat-related illness. 🐾

🐶 Keep pets indoors as much as possible during the hottest parts of the day.
💧 Provide plenty of fresh, cool water at all times.
🌳 Limit walks and outdoor activity to the cooler early morning or evening hours.
🐾 Check the pavement! Hot asphalt and concrete can burn sensitive paw pads.
🚗 NEVER leave a pet in a parked vehicle — even for a few minutes.
☀️ Be especially cautious with senior pets, overweight pets, flat-faced breeds, and pets with certain health conditions.

🚨 Know the signs of overheating: excessive panting or drooling, weakness, vomiting, confusion, difficulty breathing, or collapse.

If you suspect your pet is experiencing heat-related illness, move them to a cooler area and seek veterinary care immediately.

Please keep those paws cool and pets safe during this heat wave! ❤️🐾

School is back! 🍎🐾 We hope everyone who started today had an paw-some first day, and to those heading back soon—we're wishing you the best! We know your furry best friends were just as excited to welcome their kiddos home with plenty of tail wags and happy kisses. Have a fun, safe, and successful school year!

📚✏️ Backpacks are packed. Pencils are sharpened. Alarm clocks are about to become everyone's least favorite sound again!

As our local students head back to school next week, don't forget that your four-legged family members will be adjusting to the new routine too! 🐶🐱

🐾 A few back-to-school tips:
• Give pets a little extra playtime before everyone leaves.
• Keep backpacks, lunches, and school supplies out of reach (especially pencils, crayons, glue, and snacks with xylitol).
• Be patient if your pet seems a little confused by the suddenly quiet house, they'll settle into the new schedule soon!

🍗 Happy National Fried Chicken Day! 🍗

Your furry friends may give you the puppy dog eyes (and even the kitty stares 😻), but fried chicken is one treat that's best kept off their menu.

Fried foods can cause stomach upset and pancreatitis, and cooked chicken bones can splinter, leading to choking or serious internal injuries.

Show them you love them with a pet-safe treat instead! ❤️🐾

🐾 Help keep your pets safe by making sure their ID tags and microchip information are up to date, providing a quiet space indoors, and planning ahead if they need anxiety medication.

💊 If your pet takes medication for fireworks anxiety, please call us early for refills before the holiday rush.
