School’s out for Kevin, but school’s always in session for the pups here at CharlieBar 🎓🐾

Today was Kevin’s handover lesson, and he did an amazing job showing off everything he learned during his Board & Train! We’re so proud of all the progress he’s made.

If you’re looking to give your puppy a solid foundation, our Board & Train program covers potty training, house manners, basic obedience, socialization, and environmental exposure—setting them up for success both at home and out in the world.

Great job, Kevin! We can’t wait to see all you’ll accomplish. 🐶💙

No matter where they start, every dog deserves the chance to enjoy life with confidence. Whether they’re working through fear, overcoming reactivity or aggression, learning to socialize as a puppy, or simply fine-tuning the basics, our goal is always the same: to bring out the very best in every dog that comes through our doors.
Training should be engaging, rewarding, and fun. Watching nervous dogs gain confidence, energetic puppies learn self-control, and every unique personality begin to shine is why we love what we do. Seeing these pups discover that learning can be exciting is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.
Because at the end of the day… dogs just wanna have fun. 💛🐶

Board & train is a great fit for owners who want a strong foundation started for them, especially with busy schedules, behavior challenges, or dogs needing more structure and consistency. During the program, we build the habits, communication, and skills first — then at handover, owners learn everything they need to confidently maintain, apply, and continue advancing the training at home 🐾

One of our generous employees took our rescue dogs to a very special sniff spot! 🐾 Jade and Cricket are currently seeking fosters or adopters!

Cricket is a sweet, driven boy who thrives on connection and loves both cuddles and work. He’s smart, affectionate, and fully trained through Copper State Canine Solutions. He does well in public, is non-reactive, and generally friendly with people and dogs, though he may benefit from slightly slower introductions at times. He enjoys rough-and-tumble play and would do best with a like-minded dog. Cricket does have some resource guarding around high-value items and thresholds, so he needs a structured, confident home. In the right environment, he will be an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.

Jade is a gentle, shy girl who is still learning to trust people after a likely feral start in life. She builds confidence through other dogs and is beginning to show sweet, playful interest in people once she feels safe. She walks well on leash, is non-reactive, and enjoys the company of other dogs. Jade needs a calm, patient home that will let her move at her own pace and provide stability. With time and security, she blossoms into a deeply loyal and loving companion.
