The Dog Walking Season Is Almost Over
As October comes to a close, Fur Baby Care MN will be wrapping up dog walking services until spring. We provide walks from April through October to help keep pets and handlers safe during Minnesota's unpredictable winter weather.
Why do we pause walks for the season?
- Ice and slippery surfaces: Increase the risk of falls and injuries.
- Snow and hidden hazards: Can conceal holes, uneven ground, and other dangers.
- Cold temperatures and wind chill: Increase the risk of frostbite and hypothermia.
- Ice melt and road salt: Can irritate or injure sensitive paw pads.
- Reduced daylight and visibility: Make it harder for drivers to see dogs and handlers.
- Winter storms and unsafe roads: Create unpredictable and potentially dangerous walking conditions.
At Fur Baby Care MN, safety always comes first. We believe responsible pet care means knowing when conditions are no longer suitable for a service.
But don't worry, we're still here for your pets all winter long!
Our drop-in visits are a great alternative during the colder months. We can visit your pets in the comfort of their own home to provide potty breaks, feeding, fresh water, companionship, and other agreed-upon care needs. It's a convenient way to keep your pets comfortable in familiar surroundings while you're at work, away from home, or simply need an extra helping hand.
There are only a few days left to book a walk before the season ends! Contact us soon to check availability and schedule your pup's last walks of the season.
Thank you for trusting us with your furry family members. We look forward to walking with you again in the spring!
