Letters from Camp Uptown: Meet Holly! šŸ¦“

Holly has been in Veterinary Medicine for 20 years - originally joining because she was tired of retail work, Holly has since found a passion in nursing care, anatomy, and patient experience. In her off time, Holly is quite the adventurous spirit - hiking, processing bones, and watching sitcoms. Her favorite patients to see are black labs, but if given the opportunity, she'd work on Miss Piggy, Falkor, or the loch ness monster. Holly is the backbone of our clinic - cleaning all the little messes, providing all the laughs, and the best possible care to her patients and coworkers alike. Happy Tech Week, Holly!

Welcome to Uptown Animal Hospital, Dr. Finkel! šŸŽ‰

Weā€™re thrilled to welcome him as our new Medical Director. Heā€™ll also work alongside our general practice, urgent care and surgery teams, caring for patients and supporting the day-to-day clinic.

Dr. Benjamin Finkel earned both his Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University, graduating in 2019. He then practiced in Rochester, Minnesota, where he developed particular interests in surgery, dentistry, and clinical mentorship.

In his previous role, Dr. Finkel served as a surgical and dental resource within a multi-doctor practice while also mentoring newer veterinarians and supporting collaborative case management. He is passionate about high-quality medicine, team development, and creating a positive, supportive hospital culture.

Dr. Finkel is excited to return home to Washington and join Uptown as Medical Director. Outside of work, he enjoys horseback riding, traveling, and attempting to keep an ever-growing collection of unique and striking plants thriving.

Join us in giving Dr. Finkel a warm welcome! šŸ‘‹
