🐾💖 Happy National Veterinary Technician Week! 💖🐾

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible veterinary technicians who help keep Confederate Woods Veterinary Hospital running and provide so much love and care to your furry family members! 🐶🐱

But have you ever wondered what a veterinary technician actually does? 🤔

Think of veterinary technicians as the nurses of veterinary medicine, but their job involves SO much more than most people realize!

🩺 They’re anesthetists – Monitoring your pets closely while they’re under anesthesia and making sure they wake up safely.

💉 They’re phlebotomists – Drawing blood, placing IV catheters, and collecting samples for diagnostic testing.

🔬 They’re laboratory technicians – Running bloodwork, examining samples under a microscope, and helping veterinarians get answers.

🦷 They’re dental assistants – Taking dental X-rays, cleaning teeth, and helping keep those pearly whites healthy!

🚑 They’re emergency responders – Jumping into action when every second counts, performing CPR, and providing critical patient care.

💊 They’re pharmacists – Preparing medications, calculating dosages, and helping make sure your pet receives the right treatment.

❤️ They’re comforters – Holding paws, giving extra snuggles, and making scary visits a little less frightening.

And sometimes, they’re the ones sitting on the floor with your nervous pet, celebrating a successful nail trim like they just won the lottery, or sneaking in one more cuddle before a patient goes home. 🥹

The truth is, veterinary technicians wear a hundred different hats, and they do it all for patients who can’t tell them where it hurts.

This week, we want to give an extra BIG shoutout to our amazing team:

🌟 Siobhan, LVT

🌟 Tessa

🌟 Kelli

🌟 Kyleigh

🌟 Chelsea

🌟 Mykayla

🌟 Kayla

These ladies put their hearts into their work every single day. They handle the messy, the stressful, the heartbreaking, and the rewarding moments of veterinary medicine, often all in the same shift!

To our incredible team: THANK YOU for your compassion, dedication, patience, and the love you give our patients. Our hospital simply wouldn’t be the same without you! 💕

🐾 GRAY BEARD IS LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME! 🐾

Don’t let that grouchy old-man face fool you… Gray Beard has plenty of personality! 😹❤️

This handsome guy is looking for a home where he can be the one and only cat. He would do best with an experienced cat owner who understands that some cats prefer to receive affection on their own terms. He’ll let you know when he wants attention—and when he’d rather you admire him from a respectful distance. 😂

🐱 Gray Beard is looking for:
🏡 A home where he is the only cat
❤️ An experienced cat owner who understands cat behavior and body language
🐾 Someone who will respect his boundaries
🧡 A patient person willing to let him settle in and build trust at his own pace

He may look like he’s already planning his complaint to management, but we promise that grouchy face is just part of his charm. 😉

Gray Beard isn’t looking for just any home—he’s looking for his person. Someone who understands that earning a cat’s trust is incredibly rewarding and that sometimes love looks like a head scratch… and sometimes it looks like giving them their space. 🐾

If you think you could be Gray Beard’s person, please reach out to Confederate Woods Veterinary Hospital for more information.

Please share and help this grumpy-faced gentleman find his forever home! 🏡❤️🐱
